I recently had a concerning experience with Stretchlab Carlsbad, which I feel compelled and outright disgusted to share with others. My intention is to provide a transparent account of my ordeal and raise awareness about the issues Dominic M the General Manager and company has.

I initially set up and paid for sessions for my son at Stretchlab Carlsbad over the phone and shared my credit card information with Dominic M the General Manager. In our conversation, we agreed that my card would not be charged beyond the first paid session, which was documented in our text message exchange (Attached for everyone to review). After paying $179 for a few sessions that were mediocre and moving to a cash only payments, 4-months later while waiting in line at Costo on a Sunday to pay for groceries, I was hit for an unauthorized charge for $582 for four months of packages without my consent.

I immediately reached out to Dominic M on his personal cell phone number that he gave me and he did not remember who I was initially and then he said that the account it had esclated beyond his control to collections and that collections had been sending me emails and trying to reach me by phone.  To this day I have never received one phone call, any text messages from Dominic M or Stretchlab or any phone calls or voicemails.

None of the monthly sessions were used and I was not aware of any attempted charges on my fidelity account.  They (corporate or Dominic M the General Manager) played it pretty sneaky because as soon as I transferred money into that account,(I have several Fidelity accounts) they hit it for 4-months worth of charges @ $582.00!!

Someone had to manually keep trying  to charge it as it does not automatically happen. This is where it gets kind of scammy.  The General Manager Dominic M knew that my son was not coming to any sessions as well as he knew he said he would not charge my cards,

Dominic M gave me 2 numbers to call and unfortunately, my attempts to contact the corporate office were met with frustration. The provided numbers (949-326-9765 and 855-551-0576) (Try them now and I guarantee the voicemails will be full or the number will be a fast busy!) that led to voicemail boxes that were either full or out of service with a fast busy signal. Emails sent to contact@stretchlab.com have gone unanswered and no-one has reached out to me.

What baffles me is that a General Manager, who played a pivotal role in taking my money, seems powerless to rectify the situation, access accounting information, or able to contact anyone at the corporate office or the studio's owner. This lack of accountability is deeply troubling.  Dominic M even said "Good Luck contacting the owner"!!!

I've also learned that I am not the only one facing issues with Stretchlab of Carlsbad. It seems that several people get un-authorized charges with lack of customer serivce. This raises concerns about the integrity of the location and its management as well as its owner Aamir H.

I actually picked up the phone and contacted several StretchLabs and not one employee or person that answered the phone could give me a number to the corporate office and said that each franchaise is responsible for their own charges and customer service.

In conclusion, my experience with Stretchlab Carlsbad has been nothing short of frustrating and disheartening. It actually feels like they do everything to try to get your credit card to put you on a plan (in my case unauthorized) to charge you monthly and keep you paying.

I have screenshots (Attached) of me saying  please charge Just for this month and then we will pay cash for the remainder. Thanks cannot be monthly debit. 

On May 22, 2023- Dominic replied-  Got it.  I will remove the card after month-1  I said specifically not to charge my card monthly as well as Dominic M saying Got it.

I am left wondering if this company location is operating in an ethical manner as well as the General Manager taking credit cards and charging them without authorization. I hope this review serves as a "warning" to others who may consider going there or providing a credit card for their services.

I implore Stretchlab Carlsbad to take customer complaints seriously, provide clear channels for resolution, and improve their communication with customers and most importantly do what you say you are going to do. As of now, I am left with no choice but to explore other avenues, including reporting this issue to relevant authorities and sharing my experience on various review platforms.
