This is not a case of "buyer's remorse", it is a case of Bait And Switch.  Similar to buyng a set of tires the salesman said were good for 80,000 miles, only to find out they were rated for 40,000 miles.

I am a diabetic senior citizen and use test strips to measure my blood sugar.  They are a medical device and have expiration dates like many medicines do, but they do not require a prescription to purchase.  Local pharmacies to not carry test strips for my Precision brand meter, so I look for them online.  Trusted Medical Supply LLC  (TMS,LLC) showed some as available on their website.

I prefer to buy long-dated boxes but the website did not specify the expiration date so on May 13, 2019 I emailed and asked what the test strips were dated.  "Debbie" quickly replied that they "are all one year or better", so I ordered 3 boxes of 100 totaling $161.97 which was immediately charged to my credit card.  So far as I could determine "Debbie" (Deborah M Brown) is the only person involved in the day-to-day operation of this business.

I also placed a note on the order asking them to verify before shipping that the expiration dates were more than a year away .  Although I got a notice of shipment the very next day, the post office didn't actually receive a parcel from TMS,LLC until over 2 weeks later.  I wonder what was going on during those two + weeks?  When it finally arrived it contained 2 boxes that expired in 6 months and one that expired in 9 months, NOT the year or later dating I was promised.  In addition the boxes were dented and shopworn, having had labels or stickers of some sort pulled off of them.  They looked like something you would find at a flea market.  They did not look like what you would expect to get from a "medical supply" company.  In additon they were not retail packaging, being clearly marked "For Institutional Use Only".

When I tried to contact TMS, LLC about the condition of the boxes and the short-dating compared to what I had been promised, my calls went to message and my emails were never answered.  I tried to initate a return through the website but my order was never linked to my account, blocking access to the "Request A Return" button.  My request to link the order to my account went without response like everything else.  They (she) avoided my every attempt to communicate.

Finally a complaint to the BBB and another to Paypal produced the banal response that since the strips she sent hadn't expired yet they were good enough.  She never did respond directly to me, nor did she refund my money.   I later found out that the TMS,LLC operates out of a house rather than a business space.

In the end I got my money back by complaining to the bank backing my credit card.  At their direction I returned the boxes to TMS,LLC without a Return Merchandise Authorization, but requiring a delivery signature.  It was signed as received by "Brown".   I sent proof of same to the credit card company.  Since at that point she had both my money and the merchandise, my credit card account was credited in the full amount by the bank and TMS,LLC was back-charged.   In total it cost me $28 and a lot of aggravation to get my $161.97 back.  Someone less persistent would be stuck.

It is my hope that potential customers of this firm will investigate before doing business and discover the true nature of this operator.  The BBB has had other reports about her which tell of similar behavior, that is engage in a transaction and then hide from the customer when something is amiss.  In my case I consider it bait & switch fraud.  She told me I would get one thing, then she sent me something else and ignored my attempt to return them.  In short Trusted Medical Supply is not to be trusted.
