During my work trip to Houston, Texas in November 2021, I purchased every item from the Turkey Leg Hut for one week so that I could try all their menu items while I was traveling in order to support their Black-owned business, in order to support their efforts to grow. The result of this was that I had food poisoning for 17 days and was unable to move my body at all. Since it was during the height of Covid-19, I was not even able to get to the hospital because I was too ill to do so. There was a period of time when I emailed and contacted the establishment several times for assistance, but I did not receive a reply from them. I even called the restaurant and left a Yelp review as proof of my experience. As a result of my health issues, I was unable to work for 17 days in November. I am entitled to receive my due compensation for the time lost. In the past few days, I have learned that Turkey Leg Hut is being sued by U.S. Foods for 1.5 million in unpaid bills. I would like to take action as soon as possible. Please help me file a class action lawsuit to recoup my medical expenses and lost wages. I believe that I am not alone in this situation, and I want to take a stand for the other people who were affected by Turkey Leg Hut's negligence.
