Vance Thinh/GSV Capital Partners Promised to invest, took a refundable deposit and disappeared New York New York

Vance Thinh perpetrates himself to be an investor in publicly traded companies on the OTC and Nasdaq. He took an upfront fee of 5k to pay supposed legal fees to his lawyer which would be refundable at the time of closing so we didn’t see it as a risk. According to the agreement signed, it mentioned he’d fund the deal within 30-45 days; however, time passed and he kept on making promises that he’d provide closing docs for review so he could fund the deal- that NEVER happened. After a little while, he stopped answering his calls, emails and replying to messages. There’s a company he said him and his colleagues were working on that apparently "delayed” closing documents. Should have known that he was just a wolf in sheep’s clothing. For out of respect, I won’t mention the names of the companies he is supposedly affiliated with because we couldn’t get confirmation if they know him. He also has an ongoing court case for unpaid rent on Madison Avenue, should have known that a guy that can’t pay his rent, can’t even fund a deal. STAY FAR AWAY and DO NOT DO BUSINESS with him SCAM FRAUD. If he approaches you, RUN
