VIP CUSTOM DESIGNS Scam me out of $300 Brooklyn NY

I booked him on Aug 4th to do a simple custom dress for my baby shower in October which he charged $575. We spoke on the phone and he told me to send him a deposit of $300 via cashapp (the cashapp wasn’t even his) and come see him the next day at 6pm. So i get there next day at 6pm the shop is closed and i call him, he’s like oh i should of called him before i left like we didn’t already make an appointment.

He arrives 20 mins later and we do the measurements and he tells me the material he orders comes from Turkey which takes about 3 weeks. So 3 weeks go by and i don’t hear from him so i text him like “hey can i get an update” no reply then i text him on WhatsApp and he like oh he working on other clients and didn’t check if it came yet but he would let me know. Now on  sept 7th he texts me to come by  his shop, I’m thinking I’m about to see the dress or do more measurements cause my belly did grow.

This man made me travel 30 mins just to tell me how the material ended up costing him an extra $60 and how he’s not getting paid for making this dress. Thats not my problem you told me a set price and that’s what I’m paying you nobody told him to order material from “Turkey”. He then tells me to come the very next day and pay him the remaining balance in cash which is $275 then he will start working on my dress. Like what? Red flag.

I’m not paying full price before i get my dress or even see if i like it on me. What if i don’t like it ? Like no. So i voicenote him i don’t feel comfortable paying full amount without seeing the dress or trying it on. He’s unprofessional. He never made my dress I paid him $300 since August and still no dress. He blocked me and never returned my money  I wouldn’t ever work with him again. He’s a scammer
