I have used powertools with my internet provider for about 5 yrs now, and my boyfriend as well. This first time my boyfriend's computer crashed I had to reformat the pc then reload powertools.
When attempting to reload powertools the registration number would not work, powertools lost his registration number and after several attempts we had to purchase it again because of no response. A
few months later his processor went down completely, after getting his pc back I reloaded powertools and again the registration number would not work, again I tried to contact them 6 different times and finally purchased it again (this makes 3 times purchasing the software).
Now that my boyfriend and I live together we combined accounts and now my powertools will not work, I have again contacted powertools with 6 emails, and yet still I am yet to recieve my registration number.
This software works in conjunction with AOL I don't know if they are supported by AOL but I am NOT purchasing this program again, they are ripping me off without even a response to this claim.

i was riped off by this company also. they said free upgrades then said that isnt an upgrade it is new software. what crap

I'm sorry you had a problem with getting a registration number. BPS SoftWare,Inc.has message boards and live tech support available 7 days a week where you could have gotten assistance with your registration problem very easily.
If you cancel an AOL account and get a new one, you can get a new PowerTools registration number for free (for the same version), and you can do this up to a total of 3 numbers on one registration fee. All you have to do is email IPGSupport@aol.com and tell them the version of PowerTools you registered, the original master name you registered with, and the primary master name on the new AOL account. They generally reply within 3 business days, and if they don't, live online help is available to hasten the process along.
