1 Day Paint and Body Centers Bad Bussiness & Corporate Business Practice and Lies Victorville, California

On 8-23-2012, I took my company van over to One Day Paint and Body in Victorville, CA to have it repainted (mind you, the paint was just old). Before I took it over to them, I removed the grill, lights, mirrors, taillights, and I took the signal lights off of the van so they wouldn't have to. When I dropped it off, I told them to sand the body good and make sure the paint was laid right; they told me that they would. When they called me two weeks later to say my van was done, it was very cloudy and dark, so I couldn't really see all of the bad work in the paint. The next day was a good clear day and showed everything in the
paint; my hood had bad streaks in it, and the paint was excessively orange peeled. The paint was a blur along with dry spots in the paint, and they sanded part of my business name off of the back windows where they weren't supposed to touch, they used a black marker to hide their overspray on the black parts of my van, they also got overspray on my chrome wheels,
air dam and windows. When I took the van back and complained, they said, "Bring it back in two weeks and we will repaint it." So, I did.

The second time I got it back, it was just as bad; nothing changed in the paint, but this time, they dented my roof, sanded off the glossy black paint around the side windows and repainted the areas flat black with a spray can and didn't say anything to me about it. I called their corporate office, and they had a rep come over and look at it. I showed him all of the problems and showed him that they didn't sand it, because the paint was peeling off already. I also showed him the partially sanded name on the back windows and the dents on the roof that they didn't say anything about and how they acted when I called them on it - they just stood there and looked at me like a bunch of idiots and I didn't know what I was talking about. His reply was "What do you want us to do about it? We can repaint it and put Bondo in your roof to fix it but where not a body shop, I told the rep your advertising paint and body. No reply." I told him it didn't have dents in the roof and I don't want a load of Bondo in it, I told him they had two chances to do it right, just refund me my money and we will call it done, and reimburse me for the dents and name on the van. I also told the rep that they charged me for a color change, the van was
painted the same factory color that it was, I gave them the color code for it. Then he left.

 The rep called me a week later and told me to go have my van repainted somewhere else and then he will refund my money. I told him, Thats not how it works, he replied "thats the only way you will get a refund and besides we both know you won't get the van repainted any way" or "I'll give you half the money back and we will keep the other half for materials" I told
him I will get it repainted and give me my money back, he replied "that won't happen" all the rep kept saying is go spend more money to get your money back. I told him fine, are you going to reimburse me for having my company name redone and the extra I will have to spend to have the dents in the roof fixed right and the extra cost to reove the fresh paint to be
done right?" He told me no, and "to prove we dented your roof and sanded your name off of the van," and I should be happy with the paint job because it looks better than it did. He got belligerent with me on the phone when I told him fine then, I will just sue you people.

 After doing some research on the net and the BBB for Southern California the list of complaints and lies are long, this carries threw all of there locations nation wide. What I wrote seems to be a common practice for this Corporation they advertise one thing and do another, when there called on there screw up's they deny, lie, cheat, and accuse the owners for there companey's faults and lack of responsibility. There even listed as a high complaint corporation with Cosumer Affairs. Even for a budget based paint job the public should at the very least get what they are paying for. Quality, fairness and responibility
not be abused lied to and cheated. This corporation needs to rethink there polies and work ethics from store to store, if not they may find themselves in a class action law suit that could be coming soon.
