On 12/31/07 I ordered 5 ink cartridges from 123Inkjets, 2 black and 3 color to fit into a HP Photosmart 7150 inkjet printer. I received the shipment around 1/6/08 and stored it in my nice dark, cool closet. I changed out the color cartridge when the printer told me to and my HP printed a test page then went into convulsions. It said something to the order that I need to remove the tricolor cartridge and reinstall it after I cleaned the head. I took the cartridge out, blotted it on a napkin and the ink flowed freely. Putting the cartridge back in caused the printer to ignore it like no cartridge was there. I called the 123injets CSV rep and she looked up my order and told me I was out of warranty and there was nothing they could do for me.

I then went to my closet and got a new Spectrum black cartridge and a new Spectrum color cartridge and put them in my printer. My printer printed one page and went into convulsions again. It wouldn't give a warning message this time. It just sat there with all 3 lights on the console blinking in succession like a Christmas tree. I took them in and out a number of times, blotting them on a clean napkin each time, and still there was no effect. I kept holding the Power Switch in to try and turn it off but there was no effect. I tried holding down all of the buttons together and different combinations but there was no effect. I went into my HP Tools and tried to print a Diagnostics, Alignment page, Test Page etc. fooling around with it for another hour with no effect. I finally pulled the power plug. That was the fatal stroke. Now my perfect, faithful printer is dead and nothing will revive it.

I am 70 years old, was hospitalized twice in 2008, bedridden most of the year and didn't get to use my printer as much. These Spectrum brand cartridges hadn't had the seals broken on them until last week, 3/10/09. Since 123Inkjets don't handle this brand any longer they probably sold them knowing that they were incompatible with my HP Photosmart 7150. Now I am out $60.66 for the ink and another $135.00 I spent for the printer in 2007. My almost new HP Printer is now going to the garbage heap.
