I booked a reservation with this company to pickup my elderly mother at the Chicago Midaway Airport, They were 45 minutes late arriving, the driver Joe Anselmo looked a mess. Dirty, unkempt clothes and acted like it was my mother's fault he was late! Huffing and Puffing and muttering under his breath something my mother couldn't understand but she was clearly uneasy about riding with this man. She sat in silence fearing to say anything that might upset him.

When he finally delivered her to her home he left her bags at the curb for HER to carry into the house. She's 92 for christ sake !

I called the company to complain and guess who I got on the phone? The driver! Seems he OWNS the company. He acted sympathetic on the phone and assured me a refund. NEVER HAPPENED. After waiting 6 weeks and several calls to his office ( none returned ) i complained to my credit card company, they fought for me but this joker kept it tied up for months with letters and copies of a supposed contract that gets him paid no matter what the complaint. I finally got my money back ( part of it anyway ) but this company was very unprofessional.

I would never recommend them nor use them ever again and shame on Joe Amselmo !

Anothe Attempt By An Unadentified Slanderer

Why wait a year to complain? Again, there is no name, date of service or any other proof to substantiate this illegitimate complaint. This false statement is only posted to damage the reputation and goodwill of 1-800-LIMO.COM by the same person or acquaintance. There are no drivers directly hired by 1-800-LIMO.COM. All drivers are local independant owner operators or drivers who work for a local fleet operator who are able to go online and become an affiliate. Each booking is handled by a local limo service only and 1-800-LIMO.COM is only a global dispatch service.

1-800-LIMO.COM has been in service 13 years on the internet and only since the time Emil Tunea decided to drop out of the 1-800-LIMO.COM network has these complaints surfaced. Until there is some proof to substantiate any complaint against 1-800-LIMO.COM, it is not worth writing another rebuttal. How coincidental that the first complaint was posted shortly after Emil decided to drop out of the 1-800-LIMO.COM netork in May. Emil, go away. You've only further damaged what little reputation you have left.

I am so relieved that someone has finally written a negative report about this, as this customer refers to him "joker" Joseph Anselmo, for I have experienced a similar situation with him and his shady company a little over a year ago.  People should really start to file complaints about companies such as this 1800limo.com. Well, for starters, I did some research on this company since reading this "ripoff report" and guess what?  The only driver that exists in this company is Joseph Anselmo.  There are no other drivers.  

If someone esle picks you up for your destination it is another company that he uses because he is probably late to pick you up...who knows where... Anyways, to give you a little of my experience.  A little over a year ago, I used this company.  And not only was he late and unkempt, but upon arrival he seemed very aggitated.  He didn't even bother to load my luggage into the trunk of his "Mercedes" car.  All he did was open the trunk and took a seat behind the wheel.  I ended up loading my own luggageand closing the trunk.  The only positive action on his part was to leave the door open for me to get into the car.

He never appologized for for his late arrival nor did he say a word to me upon arrival at the Midway Airpport.  When we did arrive, I did say, "I will never use your company again.  You are unprofessional and rude." He jsut stared without saying a word.  In a hurry to get rid of me.  At that moment I just left happy to be at the airport and safe.  My only regret is that I paid him.   My point is, there are some great companies in the Chicago metropolitan area and just because you are a tourist, you should not have to be bullied by such people and/or companies as this Anselmo.

No one should have to deal with this.

This is nothing but slander. At no point do you provide anything to substantiate your claim. If as you say this is true, comment with a Booking number,  date of service, passenger name, pick up time, affiliate phone number, exact dollar amount, name of credit card company, case number of the charge back, or other credit card dispute documentation, action taken by the credit card company, date of partial refund?

 

Someone posting a legitimate gripe would gladly post information that would substantiate their complaint.  Yet still you prefer to spread your slander and not one item that would put some credence to your false claim. Why have you given no information? Because your statements are totally false and you can not provide any information for an incident that did not happen. You prefer to hide behind a phony name and slander innocent people and a good company that provides great service to all.

 Well, It seems this guy Joe Anselmo, owner of 1-800-LIMO.Com has issues with his co-workers as well as his customers. From his response to my original report it seems he's more than just a bad limo driver. He's paranoid! And it sounds like he cheated this driver too. I am NOT this Emilio guy he thinks I am. Nor am I a former employee, disgruntled or otherwise. I am who I say I am, A very disatisfied customer who will never use his company again, ever. It appears that Mr. Anselmo likes to libel people as well. He published this drivers name and phone number and then branded him a thief. I'll bet there was never a police report to back up his claim of theft, probably because it never happened. It's sad really, almost pathetic.  Instead of taking responsibility like a real man he blames others for his failures. so sad.  There are several other sites on the internet that publish reports on bad companies like 1-800-limo.com. Just because mine was the first report submitted here doesn't mean Ms. Anselmo is a stellar guy. All it means is that not enough people are willing to take the time to speak up about turds like him. There are many, many other fine limo companies out there, why take a chance. false statement by disgruntled ex-driver

This statement was written by a disgruntled ex-driver, Emil Tunea based in the Chicago area, who butted heads with management and is totally fabricated to slander Joe Anselmo and tarnish the good will of 1-800-LIMO.COM.

 
Does this Billy Bob have a booking number, date of service, name of a credit card company, or a credit card case number? No credit card company would tolerate a vendor to handle a dispute with one of their card holders without potentially losing the right to process credit card transactions.
 
If Joe showed up unkempt, confrontational and unprofessional, we would not have the amount of repeat customers who ask specifically for Joe when he’s available. He’s truly a hands-on CEO in every respect and cares about providing the best service to all of his clients no matter who or how old. There would be many more complaints on this site against Joe and   1 800 Limo.com if the level of service that is stated in the complaint were true. We have been in the limousine business for over 23 years and 12 years on the internet. We are not perfect but we always do our best to meet any needs of our clients and promptly respond to any problem.
 
Joe would highly recommend that any reputable limo company or other livery network not hire Emil Tunea, cell phone number 773-943-28xx, as an independent owner operator or suffer a similar fate if there arises any problem between him and management, your accounting department or your dispatcher.
 
Emil is a liar, slanderer and a thief. His instructions with his last booking with us was to collect $112 credit card receipt for a round trip transfer to and from the airport from our client, booking numbers 7606438 on 04/30/2013 and 7606452 on 05/08/2013 and instead of turning the receipt into the company, Emil kept the total amount and refused to pay 1-800-LIMO.COM. 
 
We called the client to verify payment and were told that Emil took their credit card information to pay for both bookings and further told us that Emil called Joe a “son of a ...., the company is not reputable and not to use them again.”
 
This web site is a "Ripoff" to publish this type of complaint without any proof of this incident ever occurring. Nor do they offer any removal for false and damaging posts unless you pay them fees.  Take any complaint from this sight as only hearsay unless there is proof without a doubt.
