We are the Estate of Tamara de Lempicka and wish to notify you NOT to buy counterfeit copies of Lempicka paintings from 1^st-art-gallery.com – a viscious Israeli based copyright pirate. You could be held legally responsible for importing counterfeit goods and be liable to large fines and even imprisonment.

We issued a DCMA Takdown notice to 1^st-art-gallery.com’s former ISP, the cheating liar David B. then issued a false Counter Claim (attached) so we hired a private investigator to look into 1^st-art-gallery.com. Our investigator spent some time looking into David B. and 1^st Art gallery Inc. Firstly, the address given on his Counter Claim. The owner of the property at 1941 Glencoe Way, Los Angeles, CA United States 90068-3112, is a ‘Shaked Berenson’, the quite well-known owner of Epic Pictures Group, he had no knowledge of ‘David B.’, the signer of the Counter Claim, when asked. Moreover there is no ‘A. Berenson’ registered at the California State Bar to practice law in that state. Furthermore, why is a company that gives its US address as 1st-art-gallery.com/contactus.html) 1st Art Gallery Inc, 244 5th Avenue, Suite D-230, New York, N.Y.10001, USA using a lawyer in LA? Surely, if you and your office are physically present in NYC, you’d use a local NY lawyer rather than one thousands of miles away on the West Coast. Unless you’re a fake US company of course!

There is no Certificate of Incorporation record for a ‘1st Art Gallery Inc’ in New York State (you can check at: dos.ny.gov/corps/bus_entity_search.html) nor in the State of California (you can check at: sos.ca.gov/business-programs/business-entities/cbs-search-tip/). In fact, ‘244 5th Avenue, Suite D-230, New York, N.Y. 10001 USA’ is a virtual office mail-forwarding address just as the other contact addresses given on 1^st Art Gallery Inc’s website, ‘Unit 9676, PO Box 6945, London W1A 6US’ and ‘Azuero Business Center, Suite 583, Avenida Perez Chitre, Panama, 00395Republica de Panama’ are mail-forwarding addresses. The phone number given on the Counter Claim as 'A Berenson Law", (My name, address, and telephone number are as follows) 18884178278 is not for ‘A. Berenson Law’ in LA but the FREEPHONE number on 1st-art-gallery.com’s website with calls undoubtedly being automatically forwarded to the mysterious ‘David. B’ in Israel – he has no physical or legal presence in the US and is therefore beyond US jurisdiction, a fact that the conman David B. is taking advantage of to be able to sell pirated Lempicka paintings.

1^st-art-gallery.com former ISP are honest people and took down the pirated paintings but the Israeli cook David B. then moved his site to an offshore crooked web hosting service so that he could continue his criminal activities.

Tamara de Lempicka’s work is NOT in the public domain as she died in 1980 and her work is protected until 2050 with reproduction rights held by the Lempicka Estate. ARS is familiar with the widespread infringements by 1^st Art Gallery Inc (Incorporated where?) and the problems faced by their illegal importation into the US of cheap, Chinese copies of copyrighted artworks. In summary, 1^st Art Gallery Inc (Incorporated where?) has no physical or legal presence in the USA and the mysterious David. B is, in fact, based in Israel. He uses Chinese sweatshop subcontractors, notorious for the use of prison and child labor, to produce pirated knockoffs of Lempicka and other famous artists and is threatening, aggressive, abusive towards honest folk who complain about his nefarious activities (see attached email where he threatens to ‘send the boys’ round!!!). It is only a matter a time before he is arrested and imprisoned, in the meantime, PLEASE  DON’T BUY FROM THE  CROOKS AT 1^st-art-gallery.com
