A binding estimate was provided by Mikko Willams of 1st Class Moving in IL. This estimate was for 2446.00 to move from Henderson, NV to Beverly, MA

The workers showed up in a 26 FT rental truck from Penske Truck Leasing. They loaded the goods onto the truck. We were advised that they would wrap anything needed but would be charged for use of tape. The tape came to $4.00 a roll! I had a lot of items already wrapped and they still used tape on top of my wrap and tape. I watched one worker cover a a small TV with a blanket and use 2 rolls of tape. You can buy this tape at Walmart for $2.33 a roll and you get more. Some small items were left out and I was asked if I wanted them boxed up. I said sure, and they used a large box to package these items up. This box came to be $40.00 which you can purchase at UHaul for less then $8.00.

After the truck was loaded the supervisor stated we had over 1000 cubic feet of goods. When asked how much the truck holds he wasnt sure. A picture was taken of the truck showing that the truck wasnt even half full. You can see the side door clearly and its not blocked. I contacted someone at Penske Truck Leasing and asked the dimensions of the truck and was advised it holds 1400 cubic feet. 4 days later their dispatcher called to advise there was 1250 cubic feet of goods. Half of 1400 would be 700 and we didnt even have that. Even our estimate showed 670 cubic feet used.

An invoice was emailed to show the remaining balance of $3805.00 was owed upon delivery. Making the move double what the estimate was. The job was now at $5205.00!

I have made several attempts to contact the company with no reply. The truck is scheduled to arrive tomorrow 10/7/2011 but no return calls from the company yet.
