Tia hired me to write and produce two radio commercials for her company, Computer Doc 'N Design. I spent some time on the concepts and script writing, incorporating her feedback as I went. Before the scripts were finalized and production had begun, she told me that she didn't need the commercials "right now". I offered to add up my time thus far in order to work out my compensation amount, and she replied "sounds wonderful".
I did so, and after several attempts at getting her to address the payment issue with me via email, she finally replied with "Let me contact my barter people and see what we can do." I did not hear back from her. Emails I've written to her since have gone unanswered.
One of her emails said "We moved to NC!! "
Her website, www.computerdocndesign.com, is off-line as of this writing.
She owes me a little over $250. And the courtesy of a reply, as I see it.
