24 Hour Fitness formerly the Q ripoff mistreats members and hounds them to death Bedford Texas

I joined the Q in 1998, now 24 Hour Fitness off of Central Drive in Bedford. I had just moved from California and was looking for a pool because I am a Masters swimmer who competes at the National level. After looking around, I decided on this facility because their pool had 4 lap lanes plus an open pool area for pool people who 'walk.'

I swim everyday and the time of day not important. Every time I went to workout, there would be someone using the lap lanes to walk, float, stand and chat with friends, rather than use the open area. I talked to management and they said there was nothing they could do. I suggested identifying the lap lanes were for swimming only. They refused.

Also, my locker dues came up when I was out of town for one week and when I returned, they had cleaned out my locker and discarded all my swim gear ($240 worth). I had never received any kind of notice that my locker dues were pending. No compensation was given.

I closed my membership the day after my contract expired, and they are now hounding me for membership dues because they are 24 Hour Fitness. My dues were electronically debited from my checking account. Since they would not stop the debit process, I went to my bank and had the EFT cancelled which angered them tremendously.

I now have their people calling for money. Today, I received an invoice for $120.29 for my next quarter's dues. I'm not even a member and they are trying to get more bucks.

24 Hour Fitness is a sleezily-run business. In the future, I will only deal with month-to-month if I even consider a health club which I won't.

I now swim for free at a local high school with 12 lanes.

My message to 24 Hour Fitness is: quit wasting your sales people's time calling me; you'll never get a penny from me and I am more patient than you can imagine.
