Last fall I was looking through a popular site with horses for sale. I found a horse that looked perfect for a friend who keeps his horse at my place. We contacted Paul and went to see this horse. I also took another friend who has ridden for many years. 

The first thing I did was to pick up all four feet. The horse stood beautifully.  We all rode him and he was very calm, so my friend decided to buy him.

 Being late in the year, we didn't ride him but noticed that he was a little head shy when we put the halter on him. The week after we got him we had the farrier try to trim his feet. He nearly put me through the fence and knocked the farrier down. We decided that maybe it was because of his new surroundings and would give him a second chance.  The second time was worse than the first.

 Since the horse was guaranteed we tried to contact Paul Aurandt to take him back. He had all kinds of excuses for not being able to come and get him and would not answer our calls after that.  We finally took him back ourselves, making sure there was someone there to recieve him.

I have no proof, but I think the horse was drugged when we first saw him.

It has taken nearly a year to get any response from them at all. Tracy signed a reciept for the horse saying that they would give a refund as soon as they sold the horse. Now they refuse to do so, saying that we made the horse the way he is.  Anyone that knows us, knows that there has never been an animal mistreated here. I have spoken to several people since and have been told how shady these people are.
