I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER OF   39DOLLARGLASSES.COM FOR MANY YEARS. BEFORE THE LAST ORDER # 615709492 ; THIS COMPANY WAS A VERY GOOD , HONEST COMPANY. HOWEVER, AFTER MY LAST ORDER I FOUND OUT THAT THE OWNERSHIP HAS CHANGED. NOW IT IS THE WORST COMPANY ON INTERNET AND IF YOU ORDER THEY WILL SEND YOU THE WRONG GLASSES, AND THEN JUST LIKE MY CASE YOU SEND THE WRONG PRODUCT BACK FOUR TIMES, THEY ARE SO CROOKED THAT THEY DON'T CARE AND SEND THE SAME ORIGINAL WRONGFULLY MANUFACTURED GLASSES BACK TO YOU.

I ALWAYS HAD A PRESCRIPTION GLASSES WHICH I HAD IT TINTED ONLY 10 PERCENT BLUE ( VERY LIGHT ) . WHEN MY PRESCRIPTION CHANGED, I HAD TO ORDER A NEW ONE. GOD THAT IS WHEN MY NIGHTMARE STARTED. THEY DID NOT SEND ME A GLASSES WITH 10 PERCENT TINTED BLUE. IT WAS AND NOW THAT I GOT IT AGAIN AFTER SENDING IT BACK FOUR TIME, IS STILL DARK BLUE. THEY KNOW THAT I HAVE A CLEAR TRANSITION GLASSES TOO. BUT THEY DO NOT CARE.

FOR THE FORTH TIME, I CALLED TALKED TO THEM. THE SERVICE IS AWFUL. THE LADY WAS VERY OBNOCTIOUS AND RUDE. I GOT THE PICTURE OF MY OLD LIGHT BLUE TINTED (10%) AND PUT IT SIDE BY SIDE OF THEIR PRODUCT THEY SENT ME, THE DARK BLUE ONE, AND I TOOK THE PICTURE SHOWING VERY CLEARLY WHAT I AM TRYING TO TELL THEM. BUT THEY EITHER DON'T GIVE A d**n ( NEVER DID DURING THE LAST HORRIBLE SIX MONTHS I HAVE BEEN SENDING AND GETTING BACK THE SAME GODDAMN DARK BLUE TINTED GLASSES ).

THEY ARE ALSO REFUSE TO REFUND MY MONEY. THESE PEOPLE ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKED PEOPLE. THEY USED TO MAKE THEIR GLASSES IN NEW YORK BUT NOW THEY DO IT IN CHINA. THAT IS WHY THEY KEEP MY GLASSES AND SEND IT BACK AS IT WAS IN THE BEGINNING. I AM GOING TO COMPLAIN TO THE US ATTORNEY GENERAL . IF ANYONE HAS PROBLEM WITH THESE SO CALLED PEOPLE, PLEASE CONTACT ME SO WE CAN FILE A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AGAINST THE CROOKED OWNERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THIS COMPANY. Though it worries me that the company said it was hard to get the exact tint each time, however the pictures do show a significant difference in tinting. It is good you provided the pictures otherwise most would assume the company was being truthful. If I were a potential customer, I would request a guarantee of tint metrics. In this case, they need to formally define what a 10% tint is rather than say it varies. Contradiction in terms there, I think.

After my complaint, I received a paid return postage to return the glasses . Apparently, the company has decided to correct the mistake. I am sending the glasses back, to be tinted as i originally requested and ordered, only 10 percet blue. I hope this time ( 5th ) time, the lenses are replaced from dark blue to only 10 percent blue tinted. I come back to write the results, in one or two weeks . thanks.

We have tried repeatedly to rectify your situation. You did not mention how dark you wanted the tint until we had sent them to you. Arguing with customer service and hanging up before we can help you does not solve your problem.

We are still more than happy to make this right for you.

As for 39DollarGlasses.com lying about where we make our glasses, we would be more than happy to show you our lab if you are in the New York area. Feel free to let customer service know that you are interested in touring our facility and we will set something up for you.

THIS COMPANY HAS NO SHAME, AND EVENTHOUGH I HAVE PUT THE PICTURES OF MY OLD 2 YEAS OLD GLASSES, AND THE NEW ONE THEY SAENT ME FOUR TIMES, WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING, THEY DISREGARD THE PICTURE AND UNDERESTIMATES THE INTELLIGENCE OF THE READERS.   

    WHEN MY PRESCRIPTION CHANGED. WHEN I PUT MY NEW ORDER. I SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED THAT THE GLASSES BE TINTED ONLY 10 PERCENT. WHEN I CHECKED THE PROCESS I REALIZED THAT THE CO. IS MAKING A MISTAKE, SO I CALLED THEM. THEY SAID YOU MUST PAY ANOTEHR 9.99 OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. I DID. 

    STILL WHEN I RECEIVED THE GLASSES. IF YOU CAN LOOK AT THE PICTURES IN THE ORIGINAL COMPLAINT ; YOU SEE THE NEW ONE THEY SENT ME WAS VERY DARK BLUE. 

    AS I SAID BEFORE, I CALLED FOUR TIMES, SENT THE GLASSES BACK FOUR TIMES, THEY JUST SENT IT BACK EXACTLY AS IT WAS. 

    I WAS ASKING THEM TO REPLACE THE LENSES, OF THE NEW ONE, WITH ONES THAT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND , TO BE TINTED ONLY 10% . 

    THE CO. IS LYING WHEN THEY SAY THEY MAKE THEM IN NEW YORK. IF THEY DID THEY WOULD HAVE SOLVED MY PROBLEM IN COUPLE OF DAYS. IT HAS BEEN SIX MONTHS , I AM OUT OF MY MONEY AND WITHOUT ANY GLASSES I CAN USE. ALL THEY SAID WAS A BUNCH OF BULL. PERIOD.

39DollarGlasses.com has not changed ownership. The same owners that started the company still own it and are still running the company.
 
As for our manufacturing of eyeglasses, we do not and never will make our
glasses in China. Our lab is in New York and ALL of our glasses are proudly custom-made here.
 
As for your order, your original order placed 8/24/2011 (511987485). You contacted us on 9/12/2011 saying that the pair of glasses you received were clear and not tinted. We checked your order and told you that is what you ordered but you could send them back and we can tint them for $9.95.
 
We added tint and shipped on September 27, only a few days prior to receiving your return. We wanted to make you happy with your glasses, so we rushed the tint for you rather than wait further until we actually received the pair you were returning.
 
Upon receipt of this new pair you said tint was too dark and were not returning them again. You did NOT advise us that you wanted a light tint at any time prior to this.
 
We advised you to return them for us to lighten them. Again, we were
trying to make you happy with your purchase. You advised us that our company is like a s****..
