I hate paying for something and then getting ripped off. I decided to try 3dCart, based on their website "30 Day Free Trial." The "30 Day Free Trial" ended up costing me $203.

I called the number listed on the website to ask some questions, and during the course of our conversation the fast-talking salesman said, "If you pay for a year's service, I could get come bonus features." He never said I would be giving up my "30 Day Free Trial" option. I foolishly paid $399 for the 12 month + 3 bonus months and an SSL certificate, and also $99 for a "quick start" consultation (which were paid on separate credit cards).

I scheduled the quick start consultation, but when the scheduled call was supposed to happen, the call didn't come. I tried calling the company after 15 minutes, and could never reach a live person. ANother 10 minutes later, while I was on hold, the call came in. By the time I could get off the line which I was on hold, the person had hung up. I never could get hold of anyone for a call back.

By the time I could re-schedule, I had figured out the program was very simplistic and wouldn't even come close to Shopify. Before the 30 days was up, I was finally able to reach someone on the phone and told them I wanted to cancel. They said "all I had to do was login and cancel my account." When I asked about a refund, they said "You will see a credit on your credit card statement within 2 to 3 weeks."

Four weeks later, there was still no credit. I tried calling numerous times, waiting in the IVR system for 10 to 15 minutes, and never reached a live person. Finally, after 4 o5 5 calls, I finally reached someone, only to be told I had reached technical support and would have to call back, that the office hours were 12 noon to 6 p.m. I called back several times during the specified time, but still never able to reach anyone.

I finally filed a report with the credit card company, and then I recieved some email communication from 3dCart. I received an email *FROM MICHELLE QUINN* on* May, 16* which stated: "...However as a courtesy I can issue a refund for the SSL, the quick start and a prorated refund for the hosting. We would return all but one month of service. "* (The service was useless to me. How could one month service on a Ecommerce site be of any use?? but whatever).

I *did* receive the refund for the SSL and prorated refund for the hosting (a refund of $294 of the $399). I *did not* receive the $99 for the Quick Start (which was paid for on another card).

As for the $99 quick start, they falsely claimed to the credit card company that they did supply the service (a blatant lie), so the credit card company did not reverse that charge. I called 3dCart to try to have them honor the promise Michelle Quinn had made, but the female person I talked to said, "If you had reached out to us first, we would have been able to work with you. However, since you filed a complaint with the credit card company there is nothing we can do." (Which is total b***s***. They can do anything they want! There's no law that says they can't!)

I emailed the again, telling them I was promised the refund for the Quick Start session: "That is what I am asking for now, to honor the promise made in the email of May 16. If you choose not to honor the promise which was made in the above referenced email, I will add my information to the RipoffReport.com file."

I never received a response or refund for the never-supplied $99 Quick Start. Only lies. I never heard back from them, so as promised, here is another Ripoff Report for 3dCart. Another expensive lesson that one needs to check RipoffReport.com before paying for any service offered on the Web.
