3M Capital, Inc Received letter stating I won $180,000 sweepstakes with cashiers check for $4591.93. New Brunswick Fredericton New Brunswick

I received a letter from 3M Capital Inc stating that I won a sweepstakes for $180,000 and a cashiers check was enclosed for $4,591.93. The letter states that I should cash the check and then send $3,500 to pay for surcharges/govt. tax due. The contact name was listed as Randy Wilter at 416-826-7164. I called both numbers and they verified that the account where the check was from had $175,408.07 in it. Then I called Randy Wilter, which a woman told me he was with another client and asked what did I want. I told her I wanted to know what this was about. She said read the letter and decide if you want to do it. Don't waste my time or yours. She was very rude.

The scam is that you cash the check, send $3500 and then the check bounces and you owe the full $4591.93 (if you didn't spend it & you pay the bank fees for any bounced check). And you are out your $3500.
DON'T CASH THE CHECK!!! AND DON'T SEND THEM $3500!!
