53 Bank ripped off our checking account Newark Ohio

We have had 5/3 bank for 3 years and paid them more in fees than should ever be charged. we were even charged when there was no negative balance and it was almost impossible to get the bank to repair the issue. Recently we were double charged on all transactions that we made and we are still in dispute trying to get our money back. They change dates and times to reflect whatever they wish your account to say. Then when you attempt to close the account they argue about closing it and then charge you fees on a closed account. We figure we are owed at least $800 that they say they cannot find. When we went to close this account they made us pay $200 in overdraft fees that they charged us due to a disputed bank error. They created the overdraft situation and charged us. We are glad to get away from this bank but feel we were treated very poorly. We advise closing of these FREE checking accounts and make sure you get it in writing that it is CLOSED to avoid them charging anything more.
