This home at 6710 Yadkinville Road Pfafftown, NC 27040 is currently for sale.  There are documents from the county it is in indicating that it was "uninhabitable" due to persistent flooding and black mold dated less than a year ago.  The owner of the home never had a mold restoration crew come in and the mold was never addressed by a proper crew prior to placing it on the market.  This home had such bad plumbing issues that it had flooded numerous times and caused serious damage to the home before 2016. 

By 2020, it was flooding on a daily basis.  This home is a serious hazard to the health and safety of anyone who chooses to purchase it.  The wiring issues are also deeply concerning.  As the electrical outlets were known to shoot visible sparks out of them upon attempting to plug anything in.  There were multiple outlets that had black scorch marks where the outlet had blown out and fried the wall and the item attempted to be plugged in.  The last time I was at the home (the last tenants and I are very close) less than 65% of the outlets worked and the entire home from the front of the den hallway all the way back to the back two rooms was so soaked in water from the non-stop flooding that water squished up around your shoes when you stepped on the carpet. 

The Tharington family kept this tenant and her children living this way and refused to repair anything in the home when it broke.  Including, but not limited to the time the hot water heater set on fire one night for no reason (they refused to repair for approximately 6 weeks), the repetitive flooding of the home with feces and other waste products which would randomly begin to pour out of the toilets and up through the bathtub drains...nonstop until the whole place was soaked in feces, the constant flooding of the entire home which came through the walls due to the pipes, the faulty wiring, black mold, broken oven, multiple smashed and improperly repaired windows, etc...

The home also has no insulation at all in it.  As well as a detached vent in the kitchen above the stove that is improperly reattached, so it blows cold air straight in all winter.  Get ready to be very sick all of the time due to the mold, freezing in the winter, and burning up in the summer.  This home is a danger to the health and well-being of anyone who inhabits it.  The past tenant and many others can corroborate this statement and provide proof to attest to all that is stated above.  This family is known for taking advantage of others.  They do as they did when the last tenant moved in, slapped a fresh coat of paint on and fancied it up to distract from the serious problems this house has and will cause anyone who purchases it.  They also defrauded the previous owner in the initial purchase of the home.  Currently selling it at approximately a 130k markup.  These are conmen and no one should enter into any contract or deal with them.  Legacy Realty is listing agent.  Has been made aware of issues and has not done anything to address the issues.
