I, too, am a victim. I have been making payments for 2 years. I stopped all future payments through my bank last month and today I received their first threatening letter. If I don't make my payment, plus a $20 late fee, they will turn me in to the credit bureau and, in addition, will pursue all legal options to collect this debt.
Since they used the phone lines to call me, unsolicited; used the Internet to get me to sign the contract and email me; I went to this website - https://complaint.ic3.gov/ctf.aspx - and filed a complaint with the FBI. This is the Internet Crimes Complaint Center. They, in return, will pass it on to the right agencies. In my opinion, I think this will do them more harm and totally put them out of business. Hopefully, they won't be able to hurt anyone else.
I hope that a lot of you follow up and file a complaint with them. It's a simple report.
