I called A Team moving to move my mother from Arkansas to New Jersey. They promised to be there between 11-1pm with a quote of $2774.00 using the weight of the items listed that she was moving. We had to pay a % down to hold the move, so we paid $1695. Our C.O.D would be $1,079.00 Well come the day of the move, the movers did not show up until almost 4:30, meanwhile she had to be out of the house by 5:30 and we repeated that to them several times along with the fact she had two small kids waiting around with her for movers. When they did arrive, they came with no type of professionalism. No uniforms, not even a company truck, they had a U-Haul truck. The two men were extremely slow in moving the items and as I said before they needed to leave the house by 5:30 and ended up leaving quite a few of the larger items, listed in the quote, behind. With the quote, I was told any large items or differences in the items being moved would affect the end cost at the time of delivery. So if less items were taken that amount would be taken off the rest of the payment due on delivery. When we called to have the furniture delivered the told my mother her new amount due C.O.D was $1,987.00. Thats $900 more than the original quote with items left behind!! We asked to speak to the manager to help us understand and nobody will give us a call back. We do not have an extra $900 to receive the items back and we keep getting told the price is firm no matter what. We are very unhappy with the way this company works and the promises they make and do not keep. Its not even expensive items we have being held, everyday house things and kids toys. I think its ridiculous that they wont even get a manager on the phone to speak with us. Please be careful if you decide to use this company. They are not what they claim to be.
