Do not waste your time on this company. My experience was far from even being considered even up to poor. You will hear a lot of hype about service and caring but it is a tinkling symbol.

The "dumb linebacker" shtick gets old quickly. You will not hear or read about anything in any kind of order so that you ever feel comfortable. The "so called" recommendations that his staff insists he hasn't got the ability to recommend because he isn't licensed are written for the ridiculous.

If you call you will be dismissed and told you need to spend more on how to learn how to understand his email recommendations. They really rent you a car and then when you get ready to leave they basically say "Oh by the way, did I mention the keys are an additional six hundred dollars"?

Don't bother calling his assistant Lori whom he says is great because she won't call or talk to you and does not care if you want Preston James services or not.

This place won't last without some serious attention to detail and listening to subscribers.

traders edge network Preston James I'm a recent customer (2020), its a great service

AUTHOR: Curtis - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, May 08, 2020

Somehow I stumbled on this site and had to chime in.  For the last 14 or so months I've followed Preston and Traders Edge and the company is genuine and provides a great service.

I've made some money and through some dumb mistakes of my own I've given some back.  The market has risks, but their service is great.  Preston cares and knows his stuff.

Seeing some of these comments on here made me feel like I needed to say something.  Nothing is guaranteed in trading, but Preston's approach gives you a definite edge.  I see myself following him for quite awhile in the future.  Of my 11 years trading stocks and options this is the best stuff I've found.

I'd check it out for yourself instead of listening to random opinions that anyone can post online.

Traders Edge Network is the Real Deal

AUTHOR: Appoo - (United States)

POSTED: Saturday, March 17, 2018

I’ve been a customer of Traders Edge for nearly a year, have followed their advice and have met many of staff members on the phone or in person.  They are all top notch people with a sincere interest in helping you make money in the stock market.  I highly recommend all their services.

I can see how some may have personality conflicts with others but you need to get past that and see what they have to offer.  I have purchased investment advice from no less that 10 other sources and this one is by far the best and the last one I need.  In January I made a high five digit profit which more than paid for any costs associated with fees from Traders Edge.

If you are not willing to study and follow their advice, then undoubtedly you will fail.  This is not a trading system you can learn in a week and not likely a month.  I have spent 9 months learning the techniques involved and am confident I can continue making a REAL income from my portfolio.

I attended one of their live seminars and met serveral dozen other customers who have experienced good to excellent portfolio growth following Traders Edge.

Yes, you have to pay for their advice.  But consider it a tuition to learn something truly useful for the rest of your life.  I consider it much more valuable than my five years of engineering college.

Happy and Profitable Trading to All!

Preston James Praises Himself......Again

AUTHOR: Brock - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 18, 2011

This company is absolutely pitiful & should be embarrassed.

After yelling Land h*o & docking ship. The Pirate, or one of his first mates, tried to help save the companies good name by writing ANOTHER positive review on this website about themselves. This is rip-off report, not compliment report. People do not log onto this site to give praise. Except in cases like this where its actually from the company itself under a false name. Which is this case is Deb from Tampa. Good sales pitch Deb, hopefully you get a commission.

Im sure that Preston is similar to many traders out there, some winner and some losers. However it appears that he that he makes his money selling packets and coaching programs.  After reviewing some of the complaints here I will have to agree that the first compliment is obviously from the same person who sends out Prestons marketing emails. The writing style is identical. You would think they would have at least given some effort to disguise the author, other than by using an alias.

In this latest attempt to give the pirate Kudos we saw an improvement, but its hard to break old habits. The author (AKA Deb AKA Preston) was able to refrain from using CAPITAL LETTERS, but could not avoid those periods..... Its harder than getting rid of scurvy The use of the periods was only used three times, so its a start. The exclamation point was introduced this time though. Other than in a written sales pitch how often is an exclamation used? Perhaps this latest buyer was a 14 girl who tweeted the last compliment. For the Seinfeld fans out there we know that even Elaines boss made her get rid of the exclamation points.

The compliment stated the address for the business is a multi-story building, claiming to have moved away from a home address. The address is still listed at the top of this rip-off report page as 8869 South 60 East in Sandy, Utah. It is a house that is not glamorous at all for a stock and options guru. If the newer emails state a new address then I assume that they have upgraded & moved from the basement to lease an actual office space. The pirate shot himself in the foot with this latest compliment. After searching Google maps for the Sandy address it shows the run-down house. More importantly Maps also has a link for at this address for a company called Bull by the Horns.

After clicking at this address it has a section in bold that says More about this place then lists Traders Edge Network. So it appears the company name has also changed in the past. Searching Better Business Bureau website www.bbb.org I see Bull by the Horns has an F rating. So rather than correcting the problems, they changed company names. So far so good Traders Edge has a B rating.

Preston your dumb linebacker theory is coming true as far as running a business. Not sure about the stock picks since I havent purchased your material, because of how you have humiliated yourself by your posts on this site. I recommend you stop researching yourself & posting your own success stories. It makes you look like an idiot.

Please don't buy anything from this company!

AUTHOR: stock wizzard - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, February 07, 2011

I'm a professional stock investor and trader.

I have yet to see any stock trading course advertised on the radio/and or tv., that is not one of the following misleading, scam, rip-off or intentionally gives little information for the sole purpose of up selling additional course material, coaching etc, Don't fall for it..Don't believe money back guarantees..
These companies will be as nice to you as they can until they get your money. Then you find out,
like most people do....that you're not going to make much money. When you try to get your money back, they will purposely keep you on the phone for hours, and give you the run around until you give up trying to get your money back, or say that you need more training and materials that will cost you even more...Don't fall for it.
I'm a professional stock investor that has made over $200,000 in the last two months.
I don't use any programs and have never bought a course..They're not needed.
I have attended these events and believe they are all scams.
You can learn to be a good investor for free, go to the library or book store and start reading investing books. I grew up poor and never went to college...but I have put in thousands of hours of reading investment books and studying about stocks.
These people that have these get rich plans on t.v don't work. They pay people to say that they've made a lot of money from using the programs...when they didn't.
People with (real) good investment strategies don't try to sell the info through courses advertised on the radio or t.v...it doesn't happen.
I don't tell anyone my secrets...if I did...they wouldn't be secrets and my strategies would no longer work...I would know longer make the kind of money I make if everyone was doing what I'm doing.
Don't fall for it.

I give them two thumbs up!

AUTHOR: Deb - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, September 17, 2010

As I was doing my research into this company I happened upon this complaint.  I did note that it was posted in 2008.  Now late in 2010, a Google Map search shows their office is a multi-story building... my guess is two.  I ordered their 1% solution that I saw advertised in Investor's Business Daily.  For me, it has been the best value at $35 of any self help information on trading that I have ever bought.  Yes, the Pirate theme is a bit hoaky if you are a serious type, kinda cutsie for those who do get a kick out of it.  I subscribed to their inner circle alerts.  The weekly videos are fantastic.

The 1% solution is so full of information that my head was swimming but I knew it was good stuff.  I normally don't fall for any kind of sales pitches, but the pitch was not high pressure and it actually made good sense and sounded like a really good deal for the money. The more I read of the 1% solution, the more I wanted to invest in myself to become a successful trader.  I have been a "trader" for 10 years, but this really motivated me.  To be a successful trader may be easy for some but let's be honest.... how many really make money consistently every single month no matter the direction of the market?  I know I was not, and wanted a mentor.  I decided to invest in myself and work with one of their professional traders.  The fee is $10K for one year's worth of private coaching.  They guarantee to refund the money if you don't make that much in the year working with the coach, doing the trades as taught.

Working with the coach has been fantastic!  I look forward to our weekly sessions, which are one on one and last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour.  My coach is also available to me to answer trading questions at anytime during the week.  So as not to be a total pest, I email my questions and he typically responds in less than 30 minutes.  They give me homework and send me the powerpoint pdfs for me to look back on when I want to get into the trade set-up correctly.  You have to be willing to do the homework, study, and revisit the litature they provide to really learn how to spot the correct trade set-ups and do the trades properly.  To get good at anything, you have to work at it and experience matters.  My coach is definitly very experienced and wise... I have learned a lot from him, especially how to be more patient with my trades.  Preston and my coach are on the cutting edge as well trading the weekly options.  I am now in the process of earning weekly income on trading stocks and etfs with weekly options.  I have typically been able to bring in 2% to 3% or more of income per week for each covered trade.  My goal is 10% a month (multiply 2.5% average weekly and the goal is easy to meet).  I am still early in the learning process and am beginning to get the hang of "rolling" into the next week's trade.  I have not had one full month yet of trading the weeklies, but if you want specifics here are last week's trades that ended today with expiration or roll-out:

FAZ Sept $14 covered calls for 3% profit (expired)

FAS Sept $21 naked puts for 3.29% profit (expired)

SPY Sept $109 covered puts for 4.72% profit (expired)

MSFT Sept $25 covered calls for 2.43% profit (rolled to next week)

BP Sept $39 covered calls for 2.45% profit (rolled to next week)

FAS Sept $22 covered calls for 3.77% profit (rolled to next week)

This is just the income generating portion of my portfolio.  They also teach us set-ups that have the potential to bring in nice pops of money.  For now, those trades are my secret!  The complaint filer may not have been willing to do their homework or to really study what they are trying to teach.  Or just may not have been willing to pay for it.  For me, working with my coach and getting the email alerts from Preston has been worth every penny.  And trust me, I have paid for other information services that have not been worth it.  I give the Pirate two thumbs up!

Traders think in percentage terms, not dollar terms

AUTHOR: tbk - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, December 27, 2009

This is not about the company, but a comment on trading in general.  I hope consumers find this useful.

The first rule one should learn (and a successful trader coach would teach) is to never think of a trade in dollar terms.  It's not about how much you make, it's about how much you put at risk to make it.  If you put your life savings on the line to earn $6000, it probably wasn't a safe bet.

Trading is one of the most challenging arenas where the odds are stacked specifically against you by global finance companies. Why do you think bank traders earn millions each year?  Why do CNBC talking heads tell you you need to "get in the game."  Because banks can't win if you don't play.  ;)

If you have savings, and you want to preserve it, do yourself a favor and put it in CD's.  It's better to earn 1% a year than lose 100% in a month.

Trading is one of the most challenging arenas where the odds are stacked specifically against you by global finance companies much smarter than a mom and pop who offers unlicensed advice for $600. Why do you think bank traders earn millions each year?

Think about it this way.  Some CNBC talking heads tell you you need to "get in the game."  But why?  Because banks can't win if you don't play.  ;)

It is the same writer.....

AUTHOR: BC - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, October 08, 2009

I went back and looked through the "library" of sales literature these guys send to my email and it does appear to be the same writer.  How ironic that the person who lives in Miami and is making "$6,138 on one trade" also writes advertising copy for the company.

C'mon Preston, we're not all big, dumb linebackers.

Brag All You Want When It's Your Own Company

AUTHOR: Kelly S - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 14, 2009

I recently signed up for some Preston James trading information, but just received emails that appears to be a continuous sales pitch. Normally I only take these post with a grain of salt, until I noticed the rebuttal stating "Whine All You Want... Traders Edge Network put over $6000 in my pocket last month"

This is the exact style of writing on the emails I received from this office and on their web pages that I viewed. .....Changing from writing in CAPITAL LETTERS and starting and ending sentences with periods like this....

I did a map search for the address for the company they have listed. It is a run down house that appears like it is about to be condemned. If a bonus $6000 is going in their pocket it definitely is not for home repair.

Whine All You Want... Traders Edge Network put over $6000 in my pocket last month

AUTHOR: Howard Thompson - (U.S.A.)

I don't know what that lady's problem is. She's obviously not much of a "doer"... more of a complainer.

I SPENT the $600 and invested in the program. I got great customer service, and more importantly... I have made more money in the stock market over the last 17 months that I've been involved with Preston James and Traders Edge Network than I've ever made in the stock market with ANYTHING else I've done.

In January, 2009, just one of the things I learned from Preston make me $6,183... all in ONE MONTH. I'm thrilled with them.

There was one particular product of his that I bought that I didn't like at all -- but they graciously refunded my money without trying to get me to keep it.

I look forward to Preston's daily updates, and to making even more money.

Hope this helps.
