A Company calling itself A2Z Offsite has sent me two bills since February. They claim I made a contract over the phone with them in January 2013. I do not recall this deal. In mid-April, a man identifying himself as Jake Ryan from NRS called me to collect a debt. This is strange for several reasons. One is that A2Z never sent me an invoice claiming I was 30 days
or 60 days overdue. They simply sent me 2 bills, one in February, one in March.
Jake playd a recording of my voice allegedly making this deal over the phone. I have contacted
the FTC and they tell me you can actually buy things, such as a recording of my voice making a seperate deal, from other companies - so the recording may be from me making an arrangement with a totally different company. That would also explain why they had my old e-mail address, one that I changed months before January.
I called the number for "Sandi" at A2Z; 954-666-0611. She connected me back to jake, rather quickly as well. I checked the internet to see if A2Z had an 800 number. They listed 888-960-1261. The same voice answered the phone; Sandi's voice. I called again after hours and the same voice is on the recorded message. I also called a 3rd number that was on the last invoice they sent me; 866-485-4659, and again it was Sandi's voice. (Only one operator?)
I have checked other websites. The Wisconsin BBB is looking at A2Z.
I believe A2Z and NRS are probably working this scam together. So, just demand Jake, or whoever, send you written and detailed information about the account. Do not send money to either NRS or A2Z. The e-mail I received from NRS.us wanted me to send a money order (not a personal check) through Federal Express, not the Postal service. Why? Probably that would be mail fraud, a federal offense. So, send money, just demand paperwork, sent to you via the US Mail.
