purchased a policy pre paid 499.00 was dut to take affect on jan 10th 2011.

got a call from shawn mai dec 20th 2010telling me that they increased my rate by 400.00 per year. we agreed to cancel the policy. refund was prommised within 14 days. it has now been 28 days and no refund just the run around. I paid in good faith. they have ripped me off. here are the e-mails between shawn and I. not sure what branch it is and he hasnt returned my request for that info with an answer.

Im sorry your in the mddle of this, but I need that money. it is an actual need now, not just a want. I need 1518.18 to cremate my dad and they wont even start til its paid. thanks to aaa bad policy it is on hold. I am so angry. and I should not have to beg for MY money. aa is a rip off. and I am going to report this to rip off report.

I can assure you that whatever youre thinking is off based. I havent made a dime from helping you with your insurance. Like Ive mentioned in our conversation, we are a not for profit company any profit that we make we give it back to our policy holder. Thus, it is not in the companys interest to make this a normal practice. We are trying our best with the system that we have and the law that we have to adhere to get you your refund. Please be patient, my manager is working to cut you a check and fed-ex it out to you.

I go a letter of cancelation over a week ago. I am paying interest on this money, and this is not right. I know it's not your policy, but it is wrong. That money was owed to me the minute we decided to cancel the policy. I'm sure by law you must notify me that the policy was canceled, but I'm sure It is aaa policy to hold on to my money. I'm out the 500 to you and the additional money to start another policy. Aaa has lost my auto and home business. It was pleasant to deal with you, but aaa is obviously more interested in them than a customer.








I would expect this from a fly by night insurance company, but not from aaa.

By law, we have to send you a notification of cancellation before we can cancel the policy. This letter could not be sent out until the effective date was in-forced (1-10). As a result, the funds could not be released prior to the effective date. We have recently implemented procedure to expedite your refund check.

Ill keep you posted as soon as I get the ETA.

I have recieved a refund of 495.00 of the 499.00 owed. no sign of the rest.
