i took my paid off truck into the aamco transmission because i needed a transmission i paid 1,700 dollars.i told them that i was having troubles with the transmission i took it in they said that the warranty was no good and that i needed another 1,700 dollars i didnt have the money ,i went to the used car lot over at the honda of ocala where all our troubles got worse i told the sale man that i wanted to put my truck in the deal to get another truck come to find out later that the sales people did not put the truck towards the deal so where is my truck ,all this took place in and around 2006, we were sold a 2001 ford ranger with 45,000 miles for 18,000 dollars my mother hard of hearing and i just didnt have what it took to understand what was going on i asked the sales man about the warranty and after ,i paid it off what would the vehicle be worth the sales man said dont worry about it we will take care of you.they sure took care of us i mean that sarcassim way ,it got even worse all of this is happening because the aamco people didnt want to do the right thing the transmission went bad with in a year or just out of the year

Robbery!

You are absolutely right! I too, spent $1700.00 at Aamco in Ocala to get my tranny rebuilt and was told that "It all looked fine." by the then manager. It lasted a week. I drove to work in Gainesville and it died on me in the parking lot at work. I called screaming and the Gainesville store came and picked it up and kept it for about a week when they finally decided to put a different tranny in it. One that they said they had rebuilt. THAT one lasted about 6 months and Aamco refuses to do the right thing. I was told that for an additional $2000.00 they would rebuild it "Right, this time." and give me a life time warranty. Like I was going to give them any more of my money. I contacted a lawyer who wrote the corperate office. The reply we got was basically that they were not going to do anything about it and that there was never any gaurantee or warranty. I could fight it but it would cost more than the job to do that with no gaurantee of satisfaction for me.

I would suggest that anyone haveing the same problem make a video (or all of us do this) and post it on all the social networks out there. See if that shakes them up a bit.
