My wife and I brought our fullsize pick up to Aamco because it felt like the trans was "holding back" when we arrived we were greated by a young lady named phyillis after telling her what our truck was doing she said let me get "bill" for you so he can help you.
We than spoke with bill about what the car was doing and i asked him how much do you think this will cost? he than said well we can go ahead and do the "external diagnostic service at no charge".

Later that afternoon bill called and said they were do with there tests on the car and the tests indicated the problem was inside the trans, at that point i asked how much will this cost and bill stated it $795 to take it apart and find out whats wrong with it,
he than said that parts and labor would be like $1900 but the torque converter is likely bad and if so it would a additional $400,and any hard parts would be additional so i am thinking $2400 how much worse can this get, less than a day later Bill calls me back and tell me they found a additional $600 in hard parts,u-joints and a few other things so i wrote it all down and told them to fix it, we spent around $3000. after taking with my son whjose a mechanic in the miltary he told me to call around come to find out i cound of had that repair done at a few other shops for a lot less bugdet transmission said $2195, tranco transmissions $2500 so beware and shop aroud before you make a auto repair it couls save you a few hundred dollars and every penny counts!!!!!
