AAMCO ripoff abused & mistreated Atlanta Georgia

My car broke down in the beginning of December of 2001. I called AAMCo to repair my car in which the total cost was $2,462.00 and some change. Due to my financial status, Dave, the mananger, made an agreement for me to "Pay when I can".

I made my first payment of $1,000.00 in January of 2002. On May 3, 2002, my finance company paid the balance of 1,462 and change to AAMCO. When I picked up my car the following items were removed: Jumper cables, Tool box, the passenger side front tire cap on my rim, and to top it off my battery!!!

In which i found out later that day...I purchased my battery from an Auto Zone here in Atlanta. The battery in my car was a NASCAR battery and Auto Zone does not sell those. Needless to say that I am in there computer system. So there's the proof that someone switched batters from my car.

Due to my financial situation, I just want to say that I do appreciate the business in repairing my car, but to take my items was not necessary. The thing that is so disappointing that when i called AAMCO the same day I picked my car up Mr. Dave told me that "He didn't know anything about it, but if it mean that much to me that he will replace only my cap.

Nothing else .....And to think about 4 months my car was there on his property and that he could have charged me a property fee. Which is has nothing to do with my items being taken. Something needs to be done. I need to be reinburst or i will be this report in the newspaper!!!! and call my attorney!!!
