ABC Supply Company ignored my very clear and simple instruction to not park their rig on my residential driveway. Due to this, the rig popped six out of twelve slabs of driveway as well as crushed my underground sprinkler system that ran under the driveway.

When confronting ABC Supply Company regarding the damage their rig caused, I was first told by ABC Supply Company that they were not liable for the damage. Later, upon showing evidence that my driveway had not been popped prior to the ABC Supply Company rig parking on it, the company offered a "peace of mind" settlement payment, but it only covered half the cost of the fix, plus I would have to sign a document stating ABC Supply Company was not accountable for the damage and that all ABC Supply Company was doing was "buying" me "peace of mind".

Upon refusing to agree to the "peace of mind" settlement, ABC next hired an independent claims adjuster. The claims adjuster turned around and put in his report that the damage was indeed caused by ABC Supply Company parking their rig weighted by cargo on my driveway. But instead of ABC Supply Company owning up to the damage by paying for the fix, which I showed them a copy of my cashier's check and invoice for the fix, ABC Supply Company instead hired an attorney to scare me into taking the "peace of mind" payment oppose to receiving payment for the full fix as is required by state law.

In the meantime, the lawyer goes back and forth about the payment offer being money for the fix (albeit it only covers half the cost of the fix and by law they would require paying for the entire cost of the fix, not just a partial amount) and the payment being a "peace of mind" settlement payment (albeit the claims adjuster plainly pins the blame of the damage on his client - ABC Supply Company). Seven months have now gone by and the lawyer is still playing on words and has thus far refused to cover the cost of the fix and won't send any money whatsoever unless I sign the aforementioned document that releases his client from wrongful doings. Also presently, the BBB has filed my complaint and is on their records for three years, this despite the ABC Supply Company attorney attempting to discredit me.
