This company is a complete scam. It is owned and operated by Char Adams. Not only do they work with Arise, but they also work with ACD Direct. Their objective is to get people to work from home through their company. I learned of them through a govenrment program and was very excited to get started. I had been out of work for some time and unable to find anything, so I was desperate.

I started with ACD taking pledge drive calls for PBS, St. Judes, and ASPCA. I was a bit skeptical because I had never paid to work before, but after doing research I realized that was pretty normal for this type of work. So I paid my $60 via PayPal per Char's request. I then started my certification, which she said would take a week. Almost a month and a half later I was finally certified to take calls. So I started grabbing all of the hours I could. I think certification took so long becasue Char was constantly out of town on what she called family emergencies. She would barely respond to texts, calls, Im, or emails, but she someohow found the time to post on Facebook about her travels.

In the meantime, she offered for me to join her Arise group as well, so I did. I signed up for a client and started training at the end of last year. I was very busy working during the day and training at night.

When the first pay day came and went, I was not paid. I contacted Char and she explained she hadn't been paid yet, but would pay me as soon as she was. She kept putting me off for about a week, so I quit taking calls for the pledge drive. I fonally received an invoice which showed a negative balance! Even though I had worked I compiled a negative balance becasue of all the fees she charges that were not disclosed to me. She also assured me I would make thousands on the pledsge drive, but that was completely untrue becasue of the low pay and all of her fees.

I should have stopped my certification class as well, but follishly I continued. I certified and worked very few hours the first pay period. I received another negative invoice. I was already well into the second pay period, so I finished it out hoping to at leaSt dig out of the hole I was in! I then got another invoice that wasn't necessarily negative, but I didn't receive any pay beacuse I was so far in the hole. That day I stopped working and never received another invoice nor pay' although I had worked 2 1/2 pay periods with the client.

As if that weren't bad enough, I received a 1099 from the company showing I had made over $1,000! That was a slap in the face! Not only was my 1099 late and only sent via email, but I never received a dime for any of the work I did. All of my pay was held for fees! Now I have to pay taxes on money the company profited and not myself! Not to mention I paid fees to be able to work, so I am out a lot of money.

Beware of this company. They claim to be religious and a military family, but I believe that is a ploy to gain your trust in order to steal your hard earned money! She has lied about me and I can no longer service for ACD, although I would like to, and she will not release me to work for another business for Arise, so she's basically holding me hostage. 

I do not think Arise nor ACD is at fault in any way, but I cannot say that to be fact. All I know for sure is that I was scammed out of my pay, received a fraudluent 1099, and have no way to contact About Face as I have been blocked.
