This is the letter I faxed to Absolute Reservation Center....this is my story!!

Beginning of letter:

Letter of Complaints #1-Broad Travel and Absolute Reservation Center

My friend _______________ received a promotional flyer at work (_________________) from Broad Travel 866-862-5980 ext. 1017 (Jennifer) and or around April 6th. We called immediately to inquire about the package. At first we assumed it was an affiliate of __________(_____________________).

Before purchasing the package on April 11th 2005, Broad Travel/Absolute Reservation Center informed us we would be staying in a resort and transportation would be provided from the hotel to Disneyland. We called several times to reconfirm with Jennifer (Broad Travel) if we would be staying in a resort, as we were very skeptical from the very beginning. Provided with this information we booked the trip on April 11th 2005. Our confirmation number is 3115221. MarilyMy friend especially, asked about the resort accommodations, as she is extremely particular about staying in hotels such as the Days Inn, etc.

The package was mailed to us on April 14th 2005. Upon receipt of the package on or around April 25th 2005 we completed and return to Absolute Reservation Center. We call Absolute Reservation Center the 2nd 3rd week of May 2005 to book our 1st trip to Orlando, FL (our travel coordinator, Marcy Wirebauch). Surprisingly, after we purchased the package we were told we would not be staying in a resort and transportation to Disneyland would not be provided. We were then asked to provide an additional $75.00 for an upgrade/transportation. We then agreed to pay the $75.00 and was then informed an additional $180.00 would be assessed for the upgrade of the resort. What was the $75.00 dollars for we asked ourselves? The transportation?

At this point, we were furious, we were both witnesses to the entire conversation prior to booking our trip. We asked that they retrieve recorded conversation prior to purchasing of the package and not after. Absolute Reservation Center, 1800-430-8353 told us that there were no recorded conversations available prior to booking the package, however the Yes/No confirmation conversation was available. What good was this to us and why weren't prior conversations taping available?

Against our better judgment we accepted this new stipulation implied from Absolute Reservation Center on the 2-3rd week of May 2005. Marilyn and I booked a tentative date for June 10th 2005. Unfortunately, we were not given sufficient time to book our flights. A letter of confirmation had not been received until it was too late. At this time, we had already spent $373.00 and was feeling manipulated. Looking back, this was part of Absolute Reservation Center and Broad Travel plot to obtain more monies in late fees.

Again, we were told we would be charged $75.00 to book a new time and $75.00 for not showing up on June 10th 2005 (This was June 8th 2005, 2 days before June 10th). Unaware of these new charges, we fought with Absolute Reservation Center. Eventually, Jennifer (customer service) from Absolute Reservation Center agreed to waive both charges.

My friend and Marcy W. spend an excessive amount of time between the 2nd 3rd of May to June 2005 to book our first trip to Orlando, Florida.

We booked a new date, June 17th 2005. Again we ask for a confirmation letter in order to book our flights, we were told go ahead and book your flight, we will have a hotel ready for you. We ask that they provide written document instead of a verbal one, because at this point we felt we
were being taking advantage of. Marcy W. became extremely livid and gave the phone to Jennifer (travel coordinator). Jennifer assured us our room would be available and ready on June 17th 2005.

On June 13th, we called Jennifer, she told My friend to expect the fax within 5 minutes of calling, the fax was not received until 2.5 hours later. The confirmation letter was received and clearly states both travelers have to show proof of living together, and must be traveling with spouse. Unless we were reading this information incorrectly, this would not apply to us. At this time my friend and I felt it would be in our best interest to cancel the entire trip. We had no confidence in Absolute Reservation Center/Broad Travel.

Again, we call Marissa (Absolute Reservation Center - customer service dept. 1800-430-8353) on June 13th 2005 to ask for a refund and she said outright, no. She was unwilling to even entertain the thought.

Both of us had not taken a vacation in years and wanted to enjoy this trip, we felt this trip had become a night-ware and would continue if we went. Who knows what awaits us in Florida (more stipulations, fees, etc.). If booking this trip was so stressful, we could only imagine nothing but the worst.

We ask that Absolute Reservation Center/Broad Travel refund our monies, if not all, at least 80%. We are now forced to plan another trip because of misleading information provided to us when we originally booked this package on or around April 11th 2005.

As a courtesy, we ask that you respond to this letter, thanks in advance.

End of Letter:

Of course, Absolute Reservation Center didn't respond to our letter. My friend and I took our vacation on June 17th, the date we had originally booked our trip with them. I cannot begin to tell you how much stress they caused us and until finally we decided it was not worth our health, as my friend is sick and suffers from terrible headaches and leg injuries.

I knew their were others who have encountered Absolute Reservation Nightmare Center. Nigthare they are!!!!

I AM HOLDING THE RESERVATION REQUEST FORMS AS I TYPE...

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, July 09, 2005

I began a search on this ARC company through online means like super yellow pages and yellow pages. I couldn't find a listing for it. I decided to look on the central florida better business bureau and finally found the listing. It stated that ARC also used other names including corporate travel among others. I did call the contact number and found the message doesn't even say "absolute reservation ctr." it simply asks for a mailbox number or the directory inwhich you dont have a name to look for. This prompted a further search. I used yahoo and put in the name of this supposed company and got the rip off reports website and some info on the company itself. I am amused because this is all I could find online about this company. I have recently recieved my reservation request forms from mini-getaways, inc. A company I started thinking was a scam as well. The reservation we were told about was at the Amerihost Hotel a mile from disneys park entrance. The form I received basically stated I had accomodations for a standard room in orlando, fl. I am proceeding with major caution now that I read all of these complaints, Thank you. I am asking for accomodatiosn in writing before I do anything further and have alrady left 2 messages at ARC. One note though, I found an extension for Tiffane of 1013 and upon entering it in at the prompt it stated the extension was for a trish. Again proceeding with caution. I alreayd spent $239 to get these forms which DID arrive when they were supposed too, thank the good Lord. All it seems I do now is send in $39 for a ONE TIME processing fee. I am already hesitant. Hope this helps anyone else in the future.

BEWARE OF ABSOLUTE RESERVATION TRAVEL, SCAM, SCAM AND MORE SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!

I have read all of the reports against Hell Absolute Rervation Nightmare Center. So what if you have a few satisfied customers what about the unsatisfied ones? Are we all crazy???

As a business woman, they suck! My friend and decided to book another trip, because we feared what the outcome would be in hell Absolute Center.

We all know you can't make everyone happy but they need to change their selling practices, train their customer support team, if they have one of course.

I have never been ripped off in my life, never thought it could or would happen to me but it did and you know what? It sucks!

Whatever I can do to make sure they do not rip off anyone else I will do.

To the former employee, oh please. How about if this happened to you, no one knows your pain but you.

I wonder why you really left.....
