I have recently have received a letter in the mail from this company. This company is connected to the other ripoff companies like,

Fortune Academy 1192 East Draper Parkway, Suite 513, Draper, UT. 84020
1-866-669-6499,

Platinum Wealth Group 6905 So. 1300 E. Suite 130 Midvale, UT. 84047
1-888-978-0994

Two things did catch my eye when I was reveiwing the material:
#1 The testimonials now have the picture of the person who gave a testiomial. The first testimonial is from a Dennis K., Utah. This same person had there picture on the envelope of an offer from Platinum Wealth Group as well.

#2 Academy of Wealth does offer the same book and DVD combo as did Fortune Academy and Platinum Wealth Group. However, the book and DVD that Academy of Wealth is offering has the exact same picture as did Fortune Academy used. I know it is the same because I have had that same book and DVD from Fortune Academy.

I called Fortune Academy once and ask a rep if they were affiliated with the Platinum Wealth Group. The reply that I get back was that they have never heard of Platinum Wealth Group. If that was true, then why did I receive two calls from two separte rep's idenfying themselves from Fortune Academy calling me from a # listed as Platinum Wealth Group? When I asked both rep's why are you calling me from a # listed under Platinum Wealth Group, if rep's from Fortune Academy claim they never heard of this company. They refused to acknowledge the question and did'nt give me and answer.

Do not fool yourself thinking that Academy of Wealth is a new company with a great opportunity to make alot of money. Academy of Wealth, Fortune Academy and Platinum Wealth Group are all connected. They are deceptive, they lie, and are extremely rude. You may lose your money if you get involved. I would warn anybody about this company.

The BBB has stated that companies will set up shop in more than one location and under more than one name. Coinedence

Some more insight

I have had and reviewed the material from both Academy of Wealth and Fortune Academy and I will say again that the material that was presented is one and the same.

Now you asked me, how did this company try and rip me off?  I had ordered the book and DVD for $9.95.  The material that I received was very vague.  The book nor the DVD does not tell anyone really of how to get started in this type of business.  In the DVD, it makes note of a web address, but does not provide it in the book nor the DVD.  So, I called the company and asked for the web-address so that I may get started.  They told me "no"!  Not until I send them a minumum of $3,000.  I told "no", and received a refund for the book and DVD instead.

If this company was so honest, then why didn't they include that bit of information in the book and DVD?

i was referred to this site by a business a*s. we both work in diff. aspects of R.E. because he had seen something on here referring to academy of wealth. i am curious how you were ripped off also scott? i have personal experience with this company and know a couple people that have a 9k judgement assigned to them and a lien with considerable value as a result of what they learned.

i also remember this fortune academy and platinum wealth company, i am on many mailers and recieved thier dvds and books about 2yrs ago, but the information was working on purchasing morgage notes and loss mitigation not judgements

How Did You Get Ripped Off ???

Hello Scott,

I received information in the mail about Academy of Wealth and as I always do since being ripped off years ago by the Zakken Group, looked the company up on Ripoffreport.com. I noticed that you've made negative remarks about Academy of Wealth and claim that Fortune Academy and Platinum Wealth Group are all connected or the same company as Academy of Wealth. What you've failed to mention is how you have been ripped off by one or more of these companies. Please fill everyone in as not all people who claim to have been ripped off have actually been ripped off. Also, yours is the only negative report on this company. Thanks so much.

Michelle
