Complaint Review: Acorn Stairlift - Nationwide

Acorn Stairlift support I bought a used Acorn stair lift last year December which work fine. I February as stop working and my electrician got in contact with acorn and was told that is the motherboard which cost 750$ plus shipping. the bord came and 2 brand new batteries as works for 2 to 3 days and quit. Got other brand new set batteries work 3 days quit. keep calling acorn their said is the mother board again. I called several times nothing happens I mean 750$ is allot of money which their say not refund nor send me another board. Not calling me back nothing. I am setting here very limited in walking have a out hip and 5 disk out on my lower back I differently need my chair back. I read on your feedback a women had the same problem she bought a brand new one and Acorn never fix it for her. Acorn calls them self the number 1 stair-lift company which their not. I will not stop until I get my 750 $ back or a brand new board. I will put them on Rip of and more sites from the internet to let people know how much Acorn think and do for their people.  From your own hands you state that you purchased a USED item. This means that there was a issue ALREADY with the item in question. You then have to purchase a mother board to replace the one that you had purchased USED from another source. Your still USED stairchair destroys THAT mother board. Now that I have the situation boiled down for you, explain EXACTLY how THEY owe YOU $750?? You DID NOT purchase this item NEW. You purchased it USED. When your USED chairlift eats the new motherboard, you turn around and BLAME THEM????

I understand that $750 is a lot of cash, but YOUR USED device killed the new motherboard. The chairlift company doesnt OWE you ANYTHING. In fact, YOU OWE THEM!! You had a made a FALSE RoR based on your VERY LIMITED understanding of both retail law and electronic repair. You have damaged THIER image due to your illegal act of blackmail.

Your USED item has a preexisting issue that has killed atleast 2 motherboards. The parent company is under ZERO obligation to "give" you another motherboard. Why should THEY have to eat a $750 part for your USED chairlift that has a serious problem. Had you purchased a NEW unit, then they would be obligated to ensure it functions correctly. But YOU purchased a USED one. Odds are that there is NO WARRENTY on it and you are attempting to use the web to extort either money or products out of this company. THAT IS ILLEGAL!!!!! Im going to forward your post on to them. People like you truly sicken me with your self entitlment issues. Im going to forward this report because people like yourself NEED to learn. Maybe a nice fat lawsuit against you for your slander online, and maybe 3-5 years for extortion will teach you the differences between RIGHT AND WRONG!!!

What you have done IS WRONG!! The manufacturer is under no LEGAL obligation to replace a motherboard that YOUR device destroyed. Make no mistake, once you bought it USED, it became YOURS. The manufacturer or ANY implied warrenty is null and void BECAUSE you purchased this item from someone else. The manufacturer has sent you a NEW motherboard and your chairlift destroyed that motherboard. They are under no obligation to send you a FREE one and your actions here are despicable. YOU are just a prime example of WHY businesses are no longer flexable. YOUR device screws up and you look to them to fix it or give you your money back AFTER the damages have been done to the new motherboard. You post your LIES online and expect them to do something for you because you spread LIES online. Like I said.....self entitled.

You deserve ALL of the issues that will be facing you in the future. You have lied online and you have attempted BLACKMAIL to get your way. You have posted THREATS to continue a campaign of harrasment unless they give you the money or the part. Since the part itself is $750, that makes what your doing a FELONY in most states. I hope you have a GREAT lawyer, you will need it.
