Action Coach Action Coach policies leave clients hanging Nationwide

Action Coach business coaching sells franchises that give seminars and on-site business consultation.  The major attribute to becoming an Action Coach is the ability to pay the franchise fees - the background and teaching ability are not quite as important and so the quality of coaching ranges from very good to abysmal.  Reports of outright fraud could be found throughout the internet.

This coaching business is structured much like Amway and shares many of the fraudlent aspects.  Individuals report to master franchises who report to larger entities how report to the global offices, with each level getting a slice of the pie. 

If you the company are lucky enough to work with a really good coach (as did I) then you are fortunate indeed.  However soon you realize that your coach, the brains of the operation, is not getting all that money that you are paying out - much of it lines the pockets of people who do and care little about your business.

You have spent months training them in your business operation and then that time and effort and expense bears fruit; your business and profit begins to grow. As months and indeed years go on you come to rely on the talent of that coach. 

And then Action Coach cuts you off!

The coaches are seasoned vererans and hardly spring chickens.  That is what makes them valuable.  The franchises must be renewed and the coach must agree to continue paying serious sums of money, and must accept an agreement that lasts for years, in some cases 7 years.  If the coach is in his or her mid-sixties another 7 years might not be in the cards.  However failing to re-up under the action Coach terms means that the coach is banished not only from the organization but also the industry.  They are excluded from acting as a business advisor for years.

Now you the client, relying on the coach for advice and for acting as a sounding board to new ideas, are in a world of hurt.  All the money and time you invested training the coach is wasted because Action Coach forbids them from contacting their clients.

I doubt very much that Action Coach would be open to refunding to the clients all that money.  And they seen resistant to any alteration to the terms of their franchises. 

So if you hire an Action Coach be aware that they could suddenly leave through no fault of theirs or yours, but you'd nevertheless be facing a major hit to your marketing and business management programs and you'd be out some serious cash!
