In 2011 Adam booked a home I rented out short term in order to for host a guest he had coming for 10 days.  He was supposed to give me a check for $2000.00.  However, He made a "mistake" and left off a zero in the numerical portion, so I could not cash it for either $200 or $2000.   At check in of a group he was to have in December of 2011, he was supposed to pay me $1000.00. HE told me the money was not yet in his account, and asked me to hold the check for a week or two. During this time the check was misplaced. He kept promising to replace the check, and acknowledged he owed me money, but did not ever give it to me.  I did not have a physical address for him and he would not give it to me and stopped answering his emails. In 2014, he filed bankruptcy. However, he did not name me or the money he owed me in the bankruptcy filings. He also promised me a certain condominium for a client for a short term rental, then did not have it available. He would routinely not put things in writing for me, saying he would send something and that it was 100% confirmed when it was not. I saw him leave many clients out upset and unhappy with accommodations.
