To those of you who are considering working for Adecco so you can get your foot in the door of Honda Manufacturing for a potential full-time job, the chances are slim to none. Let me tell you my horrible experience thus far with the shady practices of Adecco and Honda.

I have been temping (sub-contracted) for Adecco at the Anna Honda Engine plant for nearly two years, this was the fist time in my life I've ever worked as a temp. I took this job with the hope of being hired full-time like most do, and watched as my dream was crushed.

I married just over a year ago and my new 6 year old step-son is a type 1 diabetic, I never knew how challenging and costly taking care of a diabetic is. I had the opportunity to apply to Adecco for a temp position that has no end date, offers insurance, paid vacations, two dollars more an hour and I keep doing what I do at Honda...what a deal!!!! I applied for this MSP (Super Temp) position received my interview. While I have been waiting for months to hear back from Adecco regarding this new position I've watched as other temps who started long after I did have been moved into this so called super temp position, also I have watched as young people off the streets have been hired into Honda full-time never having to go through hell as a temp.

I decided to contact a friend who is in Adecco management to see what information she could give me regarding this MSP/Super temp position. She told me Adecco and Honda will never hire me because I have an open FMLA case(Family Medical Leave Act) I told her because of my step-son's condition I had no choice; I had to have FMLA or I would have lost my job. She said should understood but that's just how Honda and Adecco works.

One day I get my mail and I find a letter from Adecco, the letter turned out to be a coaching letter for missing days (FMLA days) so after getting the "mistake" corrected by Adecco. I began asking questions regarding potential discrimination toward me because of the use of FMLA.  I have tried calling leaving messages and no one from Adecco will return my phone calls or answer my question: Will FMLA keep me from being hired by Adecco or Honda??? To date the client supervisor, John Butler, over the Honda Engine Plant still takes my emergency days when I have to take an FMLA day. I have informed John the next time I receive disaplinary action for using FMLA the state and federal agencies will be reported to.

In closing, if you don't have to temp for Adecco don't and if you want to work for Honda get hired by putting in an application. I have an application in but because I'm a temp. I have less of a chance to be hired.
