Adobe uses Akamai to download their software.  If you read the fine print in what you agree to the end result is you granting Akamai, on behalf of Adobe, to scan your computer and then use you as a seed for others to download Adobe and Akamai software.  This slows down your computer while Adobe/Akamai is using you for a seed to send their software to others.  Having been bit by this in the past, you will find that Akamai will have your computer working real hard sending out software for them.

If you are on measured service, you will pay high data costs for Adobe/Akamai using your computer because you agreed to their terms and conditions when you downloaded software from Adobe.com.
