Advanced Computer Solutions, Inc. RIPOFF, OVERCHARGE, NO KNOWLEDGE OF COMPUTER REPAIR Las Vegas Nevada

On 6/27/07 at 3:00 pm we called ACS. Our company server, which is valued at 4000.00, had stopped running. The tech, Paul Fierek, asked a few questions and said he would need to take the server to there shop to repair it. I knew then that the problem was the power supply and told Mr. Fierek, that no matter what happened, the server data was backed up and there was no need for additional diagnostics. Mr. Fierek informed us that we would receive a call by 6:00pm ( there closing time ) with an update. We did not receive a call.

At 9:40 on 6/28/07, we called them. Steve, the person who answered, said that it was almost done and we would have it back this morning. The problem was the power supply. At 12:00pm Steve calls again to say that they didnt have a power supply that would work for this application. The one they needed was $350.00 and would take about an hour to get.

The power supply they used was bought at frys electronics for $250.00 and is less than 4 miles away.

At 2:00pm we call again. Steve informs us that its on its way and they should have the supply in about 45 minutes. After that they will install it and it should be done by 3:00.

At 3:00 we get the call from Steve. He goes over the bill, 2 fans @ $14.95, power supply @ $377.00, AND 8 HRS OF LABOR @ $198.00 ( total labor of $1584.00 )

We told these jerkoffs that it had to be done by 9:00am and we would pay the expedited rate ( which is posted in there office as 1.5 x there normal rate of $99.00 ) Now I did not go to college but I do beleive that 1.5 X $99.00 is $148.50.

In addition how is 8 hrs to replace a power supply which should have taken no more than 30 minutes to replace EXPEDITED. They took the unit with them so they had leverage to charge whatever they felt like charging. They knew that our entire customer database was on that server and new the parts alone are worth $4000.00.

They never discussed the amount of labor, they never called to give us updates, and they certainly dont know s**t about computers if it did actually take them that long to fix it. They will here from the company attorney.
