Advantel Telemarketing ripped me off for $2695. They have a program called the "perfect lead" program in which they have their telemarketers set appointments for you. My program was based around Disability Insurance, but they do these scams for all kinds of products. These cost $100 per appointment, and you are obligated to buy at least 25. The appointments are so-called "perfect" because if you don't make a sale, it is replaced. Sounds too good to be true? Here are the problems:

1. THEY ARE NOT REAL!!! The first few "appointments" I recieved, I went to visit the "client's" home and found that most of them did not even speak English. Others yelled at me because some telemarketer called their homes and just went through a script while the "client" yelled back at them saying they were not interested.

After these, I started calling my appointments first and found that a) they didn't speak English, b) they were fax machines, or c) they had no ideal what I was talking about.

2.Here's the beauty. When Dave Andre and Maria Miller (upper level employees with Advantel) were going through the process of getting me on board, they made it very clear over the phone that if I didn't make a sale, that appointment will be replaced. They made it sound like this would go on indefinately until I recieved 25 sales. (They also did not mention the fact that they would not be doing what they said they would do) They were in fact swindeling me.

What they really mean is that my 25 fake appointments would be replaced with another 25 fake appointments and thats it. Basically I was left with 50 names, phone numbers, and addresses of people who will never do business with me because they really don't exist.

3.When I started figuring out that there was something fishy going on, all of the people that were so nice and helpful to me were nonexistent.

Dave Andre: The head of the scam, the king of the used car salesmen I've left him dozens of messages but I haven't talked to him in months. The guy is a flat out lowlife who doesn't do what he sais he will do. He is a scam artist who will talk a good game and then disappear. I started calling constantly during the day, but the receptionist always sais he's out of the office. I'm even starting to hate the receptionist!

Tina Russell: Oh Tina, how you have made my blood boil. I'm not sure if Tina is really that dumb, or if its just a hoax to keep the scam going by confusing you. She is the single most incompetent and idiotic person I have ever talked to. The fact that she is employed and makes an income boggles my mind. The fact that she sounds drunk or under the influence of powerful sedatives during work hours is downright frightening

Maria Miller: Again, very nice before I sent the check, haven't talked to her since.

Dee MacKenna: I just got off the phone with Dee and she works for "customer service". She's the one that comes in after you've already pulled all of your hair out and points out that they have in fact successfully ripped you off, because you weren't perceptive enough to realize that the language in the contract decieved you. She is an awful human being.

So basically, DO NOT EMPLOY ADVANTEL!! They have $2695 of my hard-earned money and I spent hours upon hours wasting my time with them. I will never see a single cent for the money I have put out. They are dishonest, they are snake oil salesmen, they are frauds, and they should be ashamed of themselves for ripping off hard working people.
