Aetna Aetna short term disability ins. Gave me the run around Lexington, Kentucky

    
     Where do I even start is the question when it comes to this company. They have given me the run around for months. They refuse to return calls,or send me what i'm owed.                     
      I have not recieved a penny from this company since January 26 2011. i understand that it is thier job not to pay a claim and good God ,they are expert at thier jobs. My claims analyst, Ellen Thiboutot should get a raise for what i have been put though.
      My complaint seems to be like all the others i have read about on the web,non-payment....
      I left work on October 19 2010 for a hand injury, actually both hands. had my first surgery on December 6th , and my second on December 22 2010 .This company Aetna, seems to believe that i should be healed and ready for work on January 26 2011. now that is the problem , i pack books for a living,not just pack them , but have to flip them ,piles of books coming down a conveyor in bundles of 6 to 12 to be made into piles of 12 to 24. I would love to watch one of those pencil pushers do it for just an hour. Let alone with these hands.
     Well as any reasonable person can figure out , that's out of the question with these hands in that short of time for the work that i do. so hear i sit ready to sign up for welfare. I've worked my company, paid my permiums are have an insurance company,Aetna, refusing to pay me whats owed.
     I should also report that i have major problems with my back ,legs , and neck. I have had surgery on my back a few years back and during this time it has started to act up and give me major grief. The Doctor that did the surgey on my hands believes the problem i'm still having with my left hand is coming from my neck, i'm inclind to believe he is correct. I have been handed over to one of my other Doctors for treatment and had been going to Rehab to try to correct some of the problem, but my insurance company says i am out of visits and it was getting to hard to make the co-payments, with Aetna refusing to pay me whats owed me, I can't say that enough.
     I am considering filing a law suit, i think companys like Aetna should be also reported to any and all government agencys. I know that i will be contacting everyone i can , i believe it is my duty to spread the word about companys i have dealings with, good or bad, and i must say i haven''t run into anything like this rip-off company.
     Besides what they have put me though, they also had me drive my Doctors crazy with phone calls, like thats all a Doctor has to do, send the same documents 20 times over, and of course they are never good enough or contain what Aetna is looking for, no one can actually firgure out what it is they are looking for, i don't think it actually exsist, because nothing would be good enough for this rip-off company.
     I haven't even been the first to hear this same old song and dance from the company i work for, so it's always the same story , not these papers,those papers. Not these test ,those test and so on and so on.
     So as a warning to all considering using this company for anything from life ins., car ins., health ins., to disability ins. ,beware if you should ever need to file a claim. They are there to take your money weekly, monthly, or yearly, and they have no intention on paying any claim you should happen to need to file. I have already talked to a friend about switching from car ins. from Atena to anyone else,she is waiting to see if my problem gets resolved,but i doubt that's going to happen. I also have a sister with this company,Aetna, and i'm going to be seing her and letting her know her house and car are at stake,and should her house burn or God forbib a car accident, she will be left hanging for payment and be sleeping under a bridge .
     I know i'm not alone out there with this problem. I have done some checking and find there are many of us who have been given the run around by this company Aetna and i'm pretty sure bysomeone like Ellen Thiboutot, so let everyone hear your story and report them to all who will listen. Your company ,your friends and your relatives, and let us not forget our government agencys that oversee such companys. Hopefully word of mouth will put a huge dent in the companys profits, because we all know it's the profit they are after not looking out for thier customers when they need them the most.
