I was completely ripped off recently by a Shady little cleaning entity which operates under multiple business names. They are as follows:

Rosedale Cleaning Services,
Affordable Cleaning Services,
Affordable Household Services Inc.,
Affordable Janitorial Services

This business is owned and operated in Bakersfield CA by Rickey and Laura Bird.

I must start by saying that I have yet to find a reputable cleaning service here in Bakersfield, CA. and I've been searching now for over 2 years!

It has been my mission, to find a cleaning service that actually cleans! A few months ago, I was unlucky enough to stumble upon Rosedale Cleaning Services. I believe this company, squirts the icing on the cake of incompetent and unreliable Cleaning Services in Bakersfield.

Rosedale Cleaning Services - Fee for bi-weekly service is $91. Which I thought was more than reasonable! Considering I've paid as much as $150 (bi-weekly), and $110 (weekly) for cleaning. (In the past)

I soon found out why they were so reasonably priced. This price included absolutely none of the cleaning supplies or related equipment.

The following list best describes, the tasks, which are not included in the $91 price tag for a bi-weekly house cleaning, preformed by Rosedale Cleaning Services:

Mirror's - throughout entire home were left visibly streaked and smeared. (Including glass table-tops, bathroom mirrors, shower door's etc.) They were worse than I'd ever seen them!

Dusting - Not at all adequate and lacked consistency throughout entire house. (Ceiling fans, wall art frames, knick-knacks etc., etcwere not dusted or wiped at all!) Most of the area's, which did appear to have been wiped, still didn't look like they should have (in my opinion) when they were finished. Lifting of objects to dust under them - not in their cleaning vocabulary!

Wiping of Counter tops & inside microwave - completely missed in kitchen. Wiping countertops, dresser tops etc. were overlooked in other rooms also! They also lost two of the rubber protector's for the bottoms of range-top grill covers. The range grills themselves had dried blue colored SOS Pad gunk on their undersides. (Not noticed or visible - till they were long gone!)

Bathroom toilet area's - 2 out of 3 bathrooms - remained visibly dirty with urine spots under bottom of toilet seat and around tile on floor. Also noticed visible streaks on tile flooring. It was also clear to me that little or no sweeping/vacuuming to tile floors had been done prior to mopping. The reason I knew this to be truethe amount of hair, etc., covering the mop was disgusting.

The bathtub in one bathroom was not even touched but the glass shower doors - I knew they had attempted to clean that because the glass was streaked & smeared with who knows what!

Baseboards, light switch covers, and ceiling fans weren't even touched. Let alone wiped clean or dusted.

I discussed my concerns with the actual cleaning crew but theres been no change.

I can't believe how pathetically disinclined this group of individuals were that cleaned my home. To be quite honest with you my home was never cleaned well during their 4 visits but it was during their second weekly cleaning that our shower door was shattered by one of their employee's.

At first response, it seemed that there was little room for shifting their responsibilities and obligation, to foot the cost of replacing the glass shower door but, it wasn't long before Laura was making implications that (after she spoke with the employee who had broken the door) it was her opinion, the glass must have had an existing flaw or defect because her employee couldn't have been responsible for it's shattering. (Into a million pieces)

I pointed out the fact that if this were true and the glass did have some mysterious hidden defectwouldn't it have already broken, in the two previous years we had lived here? (By the way, only my 9-year-old son, who is hard on everything within reach, uses this bathroom)

When speaking with the owner (Laura Bird) by phone (directly after incident), I provided her with the business name /number, so she could contact the Glass Co. (who originally sold & installed the shower enclosure) for order replacement. I made no fuss regarding the loss of the shower area in this bathroom, even though I knew it would take a few days to receive the new glass door.

It was 3 weeks, 2 shower doors and 2 scandalous attempts at replacing the broken shower door with an ill matching "bargain sheet of glass" which, by the way, was inadequate due to incorrect measurements! This is because they attempted to purchase (from some other manufacturer) the glass and install it themselves. What a complete mess that whole situation was.

It could be quite possible; that the only thing this company cleans wellis the money out their customer's bank accounts.

As it stands at presentI'm still in search of that special cleaning company, which leaves me, with more than just a bad taste in my mouth and ring around my tub.
