My car was parked at the mall. My car was hit and run at the local mall. I was not there at the time of the accident. Since it's private property the police where not called, so I left for home. The next day I made a claim with my insurance company, AIG Auto.

The next day after that I got a call from Gil Foley, Claims Investigator. He wanted to come take a look at my car. He looked it over and the very first thing he said to me, "are you sure you want to keep to your story"? I said "excuse me" He began to tell me the story I told claims was not true and I had better change my story if I wanted AIG to pay for the damages. Funny how when telling the truth, some people thing your lying. I said it was the truth and I was sticking to the truth. He wanted me to lie and make up a story from what I gathered.

I got a call the next day from Cheri Diane Newnham, Claims Adjuster. She was rude from the get go. Asked me a bunch of questions. The one question I found odd is she wanted to know my last auto insurance. A week goes by and I have heard nothing from AIG. I call and leave a message with Cheri, but get no call back. A few days later I call again and got Cheri. She told me the my last auto insurance has never heard of me and that she couldn't move forward on my claim. I asked what does my last auto insurance have to do with my claim with AIG. She told me it's part of the investigating. I told her it looks like AIG doesn't want to pay this claim and will come up with any excuse to out of paying.

To date I still don't have my car fixed and I can't get anyone from AIG auto insurance to call me back. My only option is to hire an attorney, which I can't afford and fight this billion dollar company. It seems me that these big company can do anything they like because they have a building full of attorneys to bully the little man.

I've decided not to fight AIG Auto Insurance. I still feel stronger that this company screwed me, but really don't want to put the energy or time into this battle. With the help of a friend, I've decided to fix the damage to my car myself. I found a great place to get parts and with the help from my friend feel confident we will succeed in the repair of my car.
