AIU Online AIU Online Scam, I got ripped off!!!! Online Internet

I am letting the world know that online school, can cost you more than you bargin.

Continuing education is what I thought I was going to acheive by contacting AIU online. Letting them in on my husbands income, getting student loans, regular loan was just not enough.

Wanting to finish college before my daughter got out of high school was my goal. I contacted AIU online for the convience of home. They called day after day to get me to sign up. I was uneasy at first. But remember by goal is to finish before my child gets out of high school, and that time was coming soon. I signed up with the hopes of getting started and finishing quick. Adivsor after advisor called for admissions, finally we got it together. School was great, classes were wonderful. But financially, my student loan didn't cover, then I was to pay 400.00 a month extra. Of course, I tried at first to pay it, but an extra 400, this was not what they said in the beginning. My student loan was to pay for it all. I tried to contact financial aid, they never called me back. Then I asked by adivsor about the break down of my finance, and noone could give me that break down. I applied for a gov. grant, they then told me they didn't take these types of grants.

My husband wanted to get another loan to pay for it. So, we applied from a private lender, then they wanted a break down of the finances, and they never got any reply. I was 3 months from graduation, and no one in finance wanted to help me, they just wanted to get the cash money from me, and that was it. Now I can't get my credits from them to go to another school.

Funny, that my husband went to the same school for his Graduate degree, but didn't have the same problems. Later we found it only applied to undergraduate students. So be warned, undergraduates only get a certain amount of money, so if you don't have any more cash, you will not finish with student loans only.
