In May of 2015, Andrea Gutierrez found my resume online and gave me a call. She said that she had a Data Entry position for me in Santa Ana, CA. She asked me to go to the office in Newport Beach to meet with her so we could discuss the position. This office is only 20 miles from my home but I made the trip there believing that I was going to get the job. I was amazed at how nice the office was. I thought that I was going to fill out forms like W-4 and I-9 and sign some other forms. It turned out that Andrea asked me to go all the way down there just to show me a sheet of paper with the job description. I asked Andrea what the name of the company in Santa Ana is and she said it's completely confidential. I was there for no more than 20 minutes. The very next day I was looking at jobs on Monster.com and low and behold I saw the exact same position posted by who else, Andrea Gutierrez at Ajilon. I immediately believed that Andrea was using that job post to draw in more job seekers. I e-mailed Ajilon's West Coast Vice President a comment about how Andrea wasted my time. I received a call from Michael Irving, one of Andrea's superiors. I explained that Andrea misled me into believing that she had this job for me. Michael asked me what I meant when I said that she wasted my time. I said that I made the 20 mile drive down to the office believing that she had a job for me but it turns out that she did not. I also mentioned that I did not understand why the job would be posted on Monster.com the day after Andrea discussed it with me. Michael told me that they cannot find a job for everyone who applies at the agency. In other words he was trying to cover up the fact that what Andrea did was wrong. Michael then told me that he may have a temporary position for me multiple times but that did not happen either. Ajilon does not appear to be serious about finding work for anyone.

Over the last month this exact same data entry position in Santa Ana has been on and off Monster.com and I also saw it on CareerBuilder.com once. Just a few weeks ago when I saw the job post I applied for it on Monster.com and Ajilon's website. I e-mailed Andrea and one of her superiors expressing interest in the job and I got absolutely no response. I submitted a comment on Ajilon's website out of frunstation asking why they are so ignorant. I called the Newport Beach office and asked to speak with Andrea. I was told by the person who answered that she is really busy, I gave my name and phone number then she told me that she will make sure Andrea calls me back. Once again I got no response. I finally got a hold of Michael and he told me that he did not like my comment about them being ignorant and said that Ajilon is not my best source for finding work. He also said that there is a lot more to getting a job through them that skill set. I just told him that they need to acknowledge people when they appply for any position. Andrea called me first, I did not call Ajilon or else this story would never have happened. This Data Entry position is currently posted on Monster.com dated May 18. Why would anyone post a job online just to get people into the agency to apply?
