DO NOT buy a car from these guys.  I am a disabled vet, with 2 instances of TBIs.  They knew this, but went ahead and ripped me off anyway.  My family had purchased 3 cars from them in less than a year.  And then they pulled a stunt to screw me.  From the sales person (nick.) to the on-floor manager (roberto..), to the finance guy Ruben..), to the finance director (Matt..), they will rip you off.  They lied to me about the bank loan rate, jacked it 2 plus points.

They lied about the available payment.  They did not disclose they put $4,000.00 of bogus warranty coverage on the vehicle.  When caught, it took them 2 months to return the $4,000.00 they had wrongly charged me.  Note, they got funded from the bank in 3 days.  Then it took 2 months to return my money.  When I went back to them the finance guy told me, hey I just work here!  And left.

When I did cancel the warranty and GAP, the Finance director said it was taken care of.  Lo and behold, 6 weeks later, I find he DID NOT cancel the GAP, and the refund was not even processed.  These guys should be in jail.  And to be clear, I am not woofing, I filed a nice AG complaint, and also have contacted the VA and DAV for this crap.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE, DO NOT TRUST THEM!

I asked for a payment of $350.  I was told the bank approved 450.  And that my rate was 6.9%.  Only after this, and investigation, did we learn the rate was 4.8 and doctored by the dealer.  Also, without the $4k in bogus charges, the payment was $352.00.

So being a vet and DAV has nothing to do with it?  I am a disabled vet, with traumatic brain damage, ptsd, and other issues.  My family had purchased 9 vehicles from these people in 1 year!  I was alone, and am obviously cognitively imparied.  But we trusted the dealer, which is why I went in alone.  Only after, and being told lies, did my conservator read the contract, etc.  He called the bank learned the rate was 4-8. not 6.9 as shown on the finance documents. As well, the finance guy even acknowledged he did not ask about the warranty of  gap insurance.

Nevertheless, from you attitude, being a disabled vet has nothing to do with it.  And thank you for your service, which I seriously doubt you did.

Of course the REAL QUESTION here is if this deal was so, so bad and they scammed you as you allege, WHY DID YOU REWARD THEM WITH YOUR MONEY??? Secondly, you didn’t even bat an eyelash over the $300+ fake fee, did you?

My guess is that about 80% of the Car Dealerships in America employ deceptive and manipulative Sales Managers and Finance Managers. I can only think of only one place to purchase a vehicle where consumers won’t be lied to, deceived, or manipulated in any way.

The “typical” car dealership in America is, and will be, struggling due to the lack of inventory that they now have. That is one of the main reasons consumers will be tricked and deceived in order for these “criminal” organizations to make their profits.

Nothing To Do With It!

AUTHOR: Irv - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 29, 2021

Being a veteran has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS! All the items YOU MENTIONED would have been LINE ITEM entries on the contract. ALL OF THEM! What you’re admitting to the world is you didn’t even bother to READ what you were agreeing to BEFORE you agreed to it! Then you come here and cry and whine and blame the dealer when YOU SHOULD HAVE READ WHAT YOU WERE SIGNING! You actually think the VA and DAV are going to help you? What a joke!

Three Questions

AUTHOR: coast - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 29, 2021

Were you charged a finance rate greater than the amount noted on the signed financial agreement? Was the $4000 warranty noted on the signed financial agreement?

“They lied about the available payment.”

What does that mean?
