On December 31, 2003 I decided to trade in my Nissan Sentra S, 2000 for larger car preferably Nissan also since I really admire Nissans. I went to Al Piemonte car dealer and began my search.

The salesmen, Jerry Lesniak, approached me and highly advised me to buy Nissan Quest 2004. The model, size and appearance really appealed and suited me requirements and the salesman highly recommended to me this car. I decided to start negotiations to purchase this car so as I planned; I traded in the above mention Nissan Sentra which Jerry apprised for $5,000.00. He asked me to add to this transaction an additional $5,000.00. That's how I acquired Nissan Quest 2004 VIN# 5N1BV28U34N330491.

My expectation to drive a nice, new, reliable car didn't last long. Just one week upon I purchased that car I noticed that the right side passenger's door was making pounding sound and the door opened by itself during driving.

When I went to Al Piemonte with complain his service employee who advised me that Nissan Corporation is indeed aware of this problem but can't figure out how to fix the faulty designed door. The employee who explained this to me, Stanly Szymanski, handed me his business card and advised me that he figured out how to fix this door so I can come to his shop and he will do it for me for $500.00. I reported this to Al and he promised to take care of that door but until now the door is still doing that noise.

In addition, the car has following faults:
1. It couldn't start it in the morning; it sometimes took up to 15-20 minutes for me to start the car before the engine finally kicked in. Sometimes it didn't started at all.
2. Back brakes are making squeaky sounds when passengers are sitting in the back.
3. The steering wheel is not working properly; it takes lots of my energy to navigate that car.

Being loyal to Nissan and to its dealer until now, I repeatedly was going for service on this car. Every three weeks I changed the oil and reported over and over that I don't see any improvement on the faults I am dealing with. About 10 weeks ago, I asked Al, the owner, to rent a car for me so he could fix all the problems on this car or report them to the Nissan Corporation which he did but when I got back my car the problem was still not fixed.

Not knowing how to get all services done by Al, I went to Star Nissan to ask advice. Teresa Rybacki of Star Nissan assisted me with contacting Al and confronting him that my car was not equipped according to standards of this model. Al promised that he will repair everything and rest assured me that this car would run as a Nissan should and that was again only a promise.

At this moment, I decided to file this report and remove services from Al Piemonte go to another authorized Nissan service at Mid City Nissan in Chicago whom I informed about that.

Thank you for your time and consideration to help me with this problem.
