Alex Delatoba - AD Communications FRAUD Chula Vista California

Alex Delatoba, AD Communications, called Monday April 28, 2008, at about 12noon, claiming to be calling from AT&T, to my small business in Chula Vista, he claimed my phone lines needed immediate repair and that the cost of this repair would be $1,300. He then said that the on-site price would be only $250 and that the repair needed to be fixed within 24hrs or my lines would go bad and I wouldn't have phone service. He said work would be done on exterior of building and would later stop by my shop to collect the charge.

Alex Delatoba, AD Communications, stopped by my shop at about noon Tuesday April 29, 2008 and demanded the money for the 'repaired' phone line.

He handed me his business card without the AT&T logo. I got on the phone to call police, (and he tried taking his business card back) then took off running.

I then called him at 619-301-4049 and he admitted to trying to defraud me, that no services had been performed or needed, and that he had performed these scams before and he wouldn't do it again if I didn't tell his wife or police.

He also admitted that his family and friends are not aware of his money-making scams, and that he did this in order to travel and live beyond his means.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS INDIVIDUAL AND COMPANY.

P.S. Me being in law enforcement, I will be taking appropriate steps for this individual to be found and prosecuted.
