We worked with AAAT Twice. Both times, we were not satisfied (to say the least). It was our own fault that we gave them a second chance, but we learned our lesson now.

We had AAAT pick up a car for us to be delivered at the Port of MD for an international shipment of a client of ours. We were guaranteed that the delivery date will be 4 days after pick up (we were assured numerous times since we had some problems the first time we worked with this company).

The car was picked up late and then it just disappeared for TWO weeks. At first we were told every day that it should be delivered that day. Then we were told that the driver should call us. Then we were given the driver's number but of course there was never an answer. Eventually, NO ONE, including AAAT could get a hold of the driver and admitted it. There was nothing that they could do but wait (as did we).... In the meantime, our shipment (obviously) could not leave the US as planned (it had to be rolled not once, but twice) and of course we incurred additional charges due to a 'disappearance of the vehicle' by an agent hired by AAAT.
Finally, WE got a hold of the driver (already back home) and he informed us that someone else has the vehicle and it should be delivered.

Well..... it finally arrived at the port of MD (2 wks late) but now AAAT would not deliver the car because they claim they have not been paid. We had no problem sending them a cheque right away but they wanted a credit card. Since we could not pay with a credit card, the car was not delivered, was taken to their storage and now they want to charge us for storage.

IN ADDITION, their employee called our office threatening our employees and hanging up the phone a couple of times (very professional!!) When I personally tried to talk to the person I've worked with all along (Steven), he basically told me that he does not care to work 'with' us and try to come to some sort of an agreement even though their service to us was more then awful. He also said that he does not care that we won't be working with them again in the future NOR that we would file a complaint (good customer service and a great way to run and care for your business).

This business should not be operating. Please do not use their services unless you are ready and willing to be scammed. We had to learn the hard way....

Complete False Portrayal of Transport

AUTHOR: Aaat - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 21, 2007

The company who has written this report is a freight forwarder for customers who wish to ship overseas. They setup the shipment with us. They signed and agreed to our term and conditions of the shipment.

We don't guarantee pickup or delivery dates, they are always estimates as we have to coordinate with multiple customers and their schedules as well. The driver was delayed due to a break down by 2 days, which was conveyed to the pickup customer and the freight forwarder. They were frustrated but understood we were doing everything we could to get the vehicle shipped.

Once it was picked up, it normally takes 3 to 6 days to go from Ohio to Maryland. However that was delayed till later the following week as the car could not be delivered to the port in Baltimore as they are not open over the weekends.

We made arrangements to deliver the car the following week. We noticed that we still had not received payment and immediately called Sea & Air International Cargo about this. They told us not to worry and to just drop off the car. The typical, "Checks in the mail" was used. We told them that we could not deliver the car with out payment prior to or at delivery. We told them we could take a credit card to guarantee a check in the mail. They informed us that they did not have a credit card which sounded very odd for an International Cargo company.

Our only resolve was to deliver the car to our terminal in Baltimore Maryland and await payment. It sat for over a month, so long that our terminal was under the impression that the car was abandoned. He called us to confirm that it was still going to be shipped. We called Sea & Air International Cargo and they informed us that they were waiting on payment from their customer in Nigeria. We waited for another week or so till we received payment.

Once we did receive payment to coverage the storage of over a month and the redelivery fee, the car was promptly delivered with out issue.

The portrayal by Sea & Air International Cargo is very misleading and is very biased. Check the facts.
