These guys pray on people who do not have the money to go to a regular mechanics shop. They have their adds on craigslist. They offer a free diagnosis to see what is wrong with your car. They even offer to drive you to the bank to get the money.
They take your car apart, ask for the money to get the part and leave. Then they call and say they are having trouble getting the part. Because they have worked on your car they then say they are going to keep the money for their labor and you will never see them again....Major rip off..Report them to the Bureau of Automotive Repair, what they did was completely illegal...

i am in the process of filing court docs . this latest incident of fraud will further add to proving the case to the judge. a pattern of fraud. i want restitution as well as stopping these crooks from committing more fraud.
there are many involved in there scam.
zach, zachs father, and their buddy craig. all are responsible for taking honest citizens money .
mission viejo sheriffs are very familiar with them , now that irvine p.d. is on to them maybe the authorities will help those of us that are the victims.

I am one of those people who call around to get quotes and check people out..I am a grown woman and have always taken care of myself and others. I needed help. Out of work and needing transportation I did get stupid..I trusted these guys because that is the world I live in..trust me I have learned my lesson and understand I should have at least checked them out on the internet. For anyone out there that has the same experience I did, I filed a police report, reported them to the Bureau of Automobile Repair. What they did is illegal..So if you have experienced the same thing from these guys, report them and don't let them rip any more people off. Times are exceptionally hard for many people right now, people who really need the help are the ones that get taken easily.

This is just plain old common sense.
Always verify who you are dealing with!
Rule number 1.
NEVER pay cash to anyone you don't know, and certainly not a "mobile" service!
That's just plain stupid.
Rule number 2.
Never let anyone who is not established in a physical business and/or licensed and insured work on your vehicle as you would have no recourse when something goes wrong!
That's just plain stupid.
Did you ask to see any credentials?
ASE?
Professional license?
Insurance?
Picture ID?
You ripped your self off simply by your own stupidity!
COMMON SENSE is all it takes in most cases to avoid a rip off!
