I hired All USA Moving and Storage for my move from Temecula CA to San Diego CA.

I advised them of how much stuff I have, total of boxes, pieces of furniture...etc...

Rachel in their office quoted me 2 movers at $67.00 an hour . She advised that it would take approximately 3-6 hours. I budgeted for $500.00 thinking they would go high. I emailed her several days before the move requesting that she give me the bottom line. I specifically asked that she spell out in writing any additional charges that may occur.

Rachel faxed me the rates again advising that everything was covered but if I requested extra protection for my furniture it would be additional.

On the day of my move the movers showed up about 4.5 hours late. I called several times as I was concerned. The gentleman who answered assured me that everything was fine. The arrived a little after 4:30P. Two guys came in and both started running different directions speaking rapidly to each other in Russian. They kept telling me that there would be additional charges for different things like wrapping my TV, mattresses and sofa. I showed them the fax copy from Rachel advising that they provided free furniture pads and they told me it was incorrect. Suddenly my $500.00 move turned into a $1200.00 move.

They got their supervisor on the phone and he proceeded to yell at me. They said they were going to take my furniture and put it in storage until I came up with the money. The one mover who appeared to be the one in charge kept yelling at me and backing me into the wall. I finally grabbed my phone and started to dial 911 and told them I was calling the police. They left after that.
It left me in a horrible position. I am recovering from cancer and unable to do alot of lifting yet. I was stuck alone to do this and was extremely scared and angry after they left. I rented a truck the next and about killed myself moving.

Crock of crap from All USA!

AUTHOR: Sharon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 20, 2005

The DOT/FMCSA updates its license records EVERY Friday at 4 pm. If All USA had their license revoked, you can be sure it is as written (as it is currently revoked).

If your move was three months ago, in Nov, then thsi was after they had no license. Unfortunaately, it's also after they cancelled their insurance on Sept 12, 2004. They had absolutely no insurence during your move.
I suggest you call the California Public Utilities Commission They are pretty tough on CA movers breaking the laws, and this certainly qualifies. They might be able to order some money returned, or at the very least, take them out of business.

Also contact the CA Attorney General. This is beyond mere scamming, your entire shipment was in peril during your move, and this could be flat-ut fraud. You were promised a protected, efficient, on-time move, and got none of the above.

All USA and it's employees are impossible

AUTHOR: Drew - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 19, 2005

You can read a detailed account of my problems with All USA in my own report, but I have to tell you that after nearly 3 months of trying to resolve my issues with All USA they are as difficult as ever.

They refuse to acknowledge my claim and give me a different story everytime I call (first they tell me that they will send an adjuster out to examine my items. Then they tell me that they have tables to determine claim values based off of weight. Then, just last time I called the owner, and the same guy I've been talking to, tells me that they outsource claims to some company in AZ. I asked for their phone number and he said they wouldn't want to talk to me).

Now they're avoiding my calls (i.e. I called and asked for Joe, the suppossed "claims supervisor" and am told he's in a meeting by Karen. 2 hours later I'm told by Shawn his brother/the owner that he is on vacation). Which is it? I keep calling and they keep avoiding me.

They never provided me with tickets or weight receipts...a violation of federal law. Three times I've asked for them and everytime they say they'll fax them to me and never do.

They never acknowleged receipt of my claim, even though I know they have it because I sent it certified mail. Again, this is against the law.

Sharon, I confronted them about their lack of insurance and their 2 license revokations and they played this out as false saying that the DOT doesn't update their webpage.

I have complained to just about everyone imaginable who would listen, and have even contacted an old attorney friend of mine.

This company is awful, I've never been more frustrated or had worse customer service in all my life.

I hope some of you are having better luck than I am.

All USA's license is revoked!

AUTHOR: Sharon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 14, 2005

Ketan, when was this move from hell? Their license was revoked on August 23 of 2004. If they moved you after this time, it was completely illegal.

Either way, you should call the DOT's complaint line at 1-888-DOT-SAFT. Here's a link to their records page for you to print.

Shameless, liers who do not deserve to be in business

AUTHOR: Ketan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 14, 2005

I hired All USA moving and storage for my move from Torrance, CA to Memphis, TN

As with all the other rip-off reports, they showed up late, were rude and did not even listen to requests of moving "fragile" boxes with care. They "demanded" tips right when they started the move. Left the place in shambles. Showed up without calling in advance of more than 24 hours.
Did not even have the weight noted on the final bill of delivery but switched to a "per cubic feet" method of charging money. Left the heavy stuff on the doorsteps claiming that it was not their job and that they would hurt their backs and the supervisor Sean would not do anything for it. Besides they also mentioned that they were simply drivers and not "movers" to unload the stuff in the apartment despite asking for charges to climb one floor.

Have attempted to contact the manager named Sean (in reality is Sami. Another liar called Jose answered for a day and was shouting over the phone. The next day I was informed that Jose never worked in the office. Have left several messages with Rachael and Karen for Sean to call me back to discuss damages to my furniture etc etc. He is never in the office and "is the only person who can answer any questions" These two sales reps just take a name for the sake of it and have never been helpful at all. I believe that they belong to the same gang of liars as the manager/owner Sean who has instructed them to act accordingly.

This company should not remain in business. I have already reported it to the better business bureau of California but obviously nothing is going to be done about it.

USA Moving is not the way to go

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 14, 2004

I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties in the move. I'm equally sad to say that USA Moving is possibly the worst company I've had the displeasure of dealing with.

I am an employee at the corporate headquarters of Public Storage, Inc. We once had a one-way moving service that was considered to be highly regarded in the industry. Shortly after we subcontracted with USA Pack and Move to handle the bulk of local transportation, our complaints regarding the service increased by an unbelieveable amount. Damage, late delivery, and general incompetence on the part of their drivers were common to the point that I could expect at least one complaint from an irate customer per night.

Public Storage no longer offers this moving service. It went from a profitable and growing section of our business to an utter nightmare in a few short months, and these months were the ones immediately following our subcontracting.

I also agree that you should continue to pursue legal action against this company. USA Moving does not deserve to be in business if they continue to treat their customers in such a despicable manner.

file a police report for assault

AUTHOR: Sharon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 13, 2004

Judy, don't back down! Go straight to the police and file a report. If they were yelling at you and physically backing you into a corner, it could be construed as assault. Go now, while everything is fresh in your memory. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for treating customers like that, never mond the potential financial scam. Even if nothing comes from the report, at least the police will have it on file, which will follow the company and its movers. I doubt the guys are legal, they could get deported.

By the way, there is another Rip-Off Report from Feb of 2003 with a California address (I noticed yours was from Arkansas???). Check your paperwork (if there is any) so the police can have the correct address.

All USA Moving & Storage
14701 Arminta Street, Suite A
Van Nuys, CA 91402
818-376-6940

Of course, it's entirely possible that they've abandoned this address by now, but it's worth a shot. At least you know they're local.

Good luck!
