Allianz Global Assistance Took my $ for trip insurance but won't pay out on very simple claim Richmond Virginia

As a direct result of Allian'zs incompetence, this story is way longer than anyone would care to read. This startedin February of 2022, still no resolution. Main points are:

- Bought this trip insurance for my family's trip to Disney, Boston to Orlando and back.

- Delta canceled our flight an hour before it was supposed to take off due to 'inclement weather', when it was clear skies and not a single flake of snow on the ground or in the air. In fact, we would've landed in Orlando before the first flake ever landed in Boston.

- There was a 3 hour wait to talk to Delta, our disney plans started the next morning and there was a big snow stomr coming in 12 hours. Clearly we were on our own to save the trip.

- We ended up booking a completely new flight with another airline, driving over 3.5 hours from Boston to Albany NY in the middle of the night with 3 screaming kids, and paid for a hotel room which we only stayed in for a few hours so we could get a little sleep.

- Got on a very early flight to Disney. Then since our return flight was back to Boston but my truck was now in Albany, NY, we had to switch the return flight to Albany and drive another 3.5 hours home after the flight back.

- Put in claim within a week of being home, and submitted all documents to get reimbursed for difference in flight costs, NY hotel room, diesel and tolls, etc.

- I have followed up over 6 times since I filed the claim, every frigging time all they do is send back a letter saying they need the documents I've now sent them 4 times. Can't get a live person on the phone, they always just so happen to be experiencing a high volume of calls (amazing!!). They've had everthing they've asked for since February/March of 2022, and I haven't received a single penny. Absolutely criminal how they've avoided fulfilling their obligations.
